Have you seen our event for our family golf day.
We would love for you to share this post as we look for more sponsors of holes on the course or donations for our raffle.
All proceeds for this fundraiser go towards helping us with our new preschool. As stage 2 gets closer we will have lots of initial costs planning the building ready for submissions of grants to build. Please reach out if you have any questions.

This week we had a little surprise for the children. Our very own chicken and duck eggs to monitor and watch hatch. This morning we were all so excited to watch one little chicken peck his way out of his egg.
The excitement of daily interaction, responsibility of looking after them and being gentle creates many learning opportunities all whilst watching the amazing life cycle of animals.
We will have our little friends for another week as we get to watch them continue to hatch and grow. 🐣

Tonight I was honoured to attend the Kiama council local Government awards where Jamberoo Preschool was nominated for a community group award. Whilst we didn’t win, what an honour to be nominated and recognised for the great work our preschool does.

Next week Belinda will be meeting with deputy premier Prue Carr to advocate for our new preschool and support needed for funding.
The current capital funding available would mean we would have to become a long day care service. This is not something any of our families or staff want to see.
I am gathering letters of support from past and present families showing Ms Carr how much our preschool model means to our community and how without support and funding we are at risk of losing our preschool when our lease ends with Kiama council.
I would love letters of support telling your experience with preschool, what the preschool means to your family and the high quality education you have experienced with us.

With the Department of Education recently changing the guidelines of their capital funding grants to needing to change our amazing preschool model to a long day care model it has ruled us out applying. We now need to find funding another way. Our management committee and community value the preschool model and as an exceeding rated preschool and such a long waitlist we want to continue to supply the same high standards to our community. Building the new preschool will mean we can provide more places and take some of the pressure off families waiting for places in our area.
Over the next few months we will be doing some joint fundraising with Kiama Preschool please keep an eye out and be sure to support us as we work towards making this new preschool happen.
We are going to be needing as much support as possible.
Even a point in the right direction if you see relevant grants would be amazing.
