🌱♻️ EnviroMentors® Visit! ♻️🌱

Last week, our students had a fantastic visit from EnviroMentors®, taking part in an engaging and hands-on Recycling Incursion!

The students learnt all about recycling, waste reduction and making sustainable choices. They explored what can and can’t be recycled, discussed ways we can reduce the amount of waste we produce, and learnt how our everyday choices can help protect our environment. 🌏💚

It was wonderful to see the students so engaged, asking questions, sharing their ideas and having fun while learning!

A big thank you to EnviroMentors®, funded by the CRJO and Snowy Valleys Council, for visiting our school and helping our students become more environmentally aware. 🌿

We’re excited to put what we learnt into practice and continue doing our part for a cleaner, greener future! ♻️🌏

Congratulations to our Award Winners

Congratulations to Jacky, Max, Hazel and Grace, who received awards at last week's assembly.

🌟 Grace – for always being a great helping hand and supporting others.

A huge congratulations to Hazel for an incredible effort at the Highlands Athletics Carnival on the last day of Term 2! 🌟

Hazel competed in an amazing 6 events, showing determination, enthusiasm, and a fantastic attitude throughout the day. We're so proud of the effort and sportsmanship she displayed in every event.

Well done, Hazel! You represented yourself and your school brilliantly. Keep up the great work! 🏃‍♀️🏅👏

⛳ A great day for our students and school community today!

We were pleased to welcome Cade Webb from Golf NSW to our school as part of our Sporting Schools Grant program. Students had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of golf, develop new skills, and most importantly, have plenty of fun giving something different a go.

Living in a rural community, opportunities like this are incredibly valuable, giving our students access to experiences and coaching that they may not otherwise have. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, students encouraging one another, and everyone having a crack at a new challenge.

One of the highlights of the day was the golf simulator, which was an absolute hit with both the kids and the "big kids"! It created plenty of excitement, friendly competition, and a few impressive shots along the way.

A big thank you to Cade and Golf NSW for making the trip to our school and sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with our students. We are grateful for programs like Sporting Schools that help bring these opportunities to country schools and communities.

Well done to all of our students for their participation and positive attitude throughout the day!
