Thanks to ABC for reposting this. If Paul were around today he would have been helping out with the rest of Bondi Brass at the Festival today, before heading off for a well earned birthday ale. He was one of Australia’s greatest musicians, yet he never lost sight of where it all began.

We need your help for Festival Day #2 on Sunday, 26 July - it's bigger than Ben-Hur, with THREE stages to bring to life for our budding young musicians!

Even though we already have a stellar team signed up, the MORNING SHIFTS are in critical need of more hands on deck...

🪉 Verbrugghen Hall (Sydney Conservatorium):
* Stage Manager (Gear-literate): 8am–2pm (1 person)
* Backstage Marshals: 9am–1pm (2 people)
* Adjudicator's Assistant: 9am–5pm (1 person)
* Runner/Hospitality: 8am–3pm approx (1 person)
* Ticketing/Front Desk: 8am–10:30am (2 people)
* Setup Crew: 8am–10:30am (2–4 people)
* Packup Crew: 3:30pm–5pm (2–4 people)

🪉 UNSW (Leighton Hall):
* Ticketing: 7am–12pm (1 person)
* Ushers: 8am–12pm (2 people)
* Backstage Marshal: 7am–6pm (1 person)
* Setup Crew: 7am–9am (2–4 people)
* Packup Crew: 5pm–6:30pm (2–4 people)
