History came to life as students celebrated History Day! Secondary students embraced the occasion by dressing as famous historical figures or representing different periods of history.

As part of the Medieval Fair, Year 8 students organised and ran a variety of stalls featuring food, activities, and interactive games inspired by historical eras. It was a great day of learning and celebration enjoyed by students and staff alike.

Congratulations to our chess players who participated in the NSW Junior Chess League tournament. We entered two teams, competing against more than 60 students from schools across the region.

Throughout the day, our players demonstrated impressive strategic thinking and exemplary behaviour both on and off the chessboard.

As part of the Bellingen Readers and Writers Festival School Program, students from Years 3–12 had the incredible opportunity to participate in workshops led by award-winning authors Joel McKerrow, Amy Doak, and Kate and Jol Temple.

Through these engaging sessions, students explored the creative process, gained valuable insights into the world of writing and publishing, and developed their own storytelling skills.

Student representatives from Secondary attended the Kempsey National Sorry Day Commemoration Service on Tuesday, hosted by Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation. It was a deeply moving experience, where we heard from Elders who were part of the Stolen Generations and reflected on the importance of truth-telling, healing and reconciliation.
