🎣 **Gone Fishing!**

Select students from Grades 4, 5 and 6 headed down to the **Boosey Creek** with Mrs Thomas for a fun morning of fishing.

The Grade 5 students were able to put their **Little Angler fishing rods** to good use, enjoying a positive experience outdoors, learning some new skills and spending time together along the creek.

A big thank you to **Mrs Thomas** for organising the morning, and to our **parent helpers** for coming along and supporting the students.

📚 Community Reading Day 📚

What a fantastic morning we had for our Community Reading Day!

The kids looked brilliant in their Book Week dress-ups, with plenty of creativity, colour and favourite characters making their way around Katamatite.

A big thank you to Katamatite Kindergarten for joining us and helping make the morning such a great community event.

Our biggest thanks go to the Katamatite CFA, Katamatite Tennis Club and Boosey Creek Café for welcoming our groups, reading to the children and sharing the love and magic of books. 📖✨

We are very lucky to have such wonderful community organisations supporting our kids and our school.

Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a fantastic morning!

📚 **COMMUNITY READING DAY – WEDNESDAY 26 AUGUST** 📚

Next Wednesday, Katamatite Primary School and Katamatite Kindergarten will be heading out into the community for our annual **Community Reading Day**!

From **9:45am to 10:40am**, our students will rotate through three local locations:

☕ **Boosey Creek Cafe**
🚒 **Katamatite Fire Station**
🌳 **CR Wood Park – Tennis Courts**

At each stop, students will enjoy hearing stories read by members of our community.

Community Reading Day is a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of books while showing our students that **reading belongs everywhere**, not just in the classroom. 📖💛

A big thank you to our community readers and venues for helping us make the morning possible.

Keep an eye out for our young readers around Katamatite! 👀📚
