A huge thank you to Ginger and her wonderful team at Lo's who have generously donated a $100 Lo’s Cafe voucher to our Fete Silent Auction! 🎉

Lo’s is one of those places that’s perfect for just about any occasion — whether you’re catching up with friends over a coffee, ducking in for a quick mid-workday pick-me-up, or simply looking for a friendly face and a welcoming atmosphere. ☕️💕

Ginger and her team are always so warm, friendly and happy to see you, and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support of our school and community.

Small businesses like Lo’s are such an important part of what makes our town so special, and we are so thankful for the generosity and support they continue to show our school. 🩷

🎉 FETE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🎉

Do we have any creative Year 6 superstars out there? 🎨✨

Are you handy with a hairbrush, love getting creative with coloured hairspray, or have a talent for face painting?

WE NEED YOU! 🙌

We’re looking for some awesome volunteers to help run a few fun stalls at our School Fete on Friday 11 September, from 4:30pm–7:00pm.

🍧 Icy Pole Station

You don’t need to commit to the whole evening — come along for an hour or stay for the whole time! Every little bit of help makes a huge difference. 💙

And the best part? All funds raised will go towards our ECE Basketball Half Court! 🏀

So, Year 6s… who’s ready to get creative and help us make this happen? 🙌🏀

✨ What a weekend at WACSSO! ✨

Our BWPS P&C team recently had the opportunity to attend the WACSSO Conference through Lotterywest Sponsorship — and they came home inspired, encouraged and full of ideas! 💙

From powerful keynote speakers and thought-provoking workshops, to hearing directly from students and connecting with P&Cs from schools across WA, it was a weekend that highlighted just how important the role of a P&C really is.

🎤 Dr Jana Pittman was one of the keynote speakers and left a big impression on our team, with her story, passion and positive message.

💬 Our team also loved hearing directly from Year 10 & 11 students about what matters to them, the changes they would like to see in public education, and the impact those decisions have on students.

🧠 The workshops provided plenty of practical ideas and valuable insights, including sessions around child and adolescent wellbeing.

🤝 And perhaps one of the biggest takeaways? Connection. Sharing ideas with other schools, hearing what is working in different communities and realising that P&Cs everywhere are working hard to support their schools and students.

Our team also had the opportunity to vote on four important motions, contributing our voice to discussions and decisions that affect public education and P&Cs across WA. 🗳️

And of course, there were plenty of ideas to bring home — including how we can make the most of opportunities like Containers for Change to raise funds for our school! ♻️💰

One team member summed it up perfectly:
“The conference was a lot more powerful than I thought it was. I really didn’t understand what vital roles P&Cs play in public education and our own schools’ financial efforts. Go team!” ❤️

A huge thank you to WACSSO: Representing P&Cs in WA and Lotterywest for making this opportunity possible through their sponsorship. We are incredibly grateful that our volunteers were able to attend, learn, connect and bring new ideas back to BWPS.

And to our wonderful team — thank you for giving your time, representing BWPS and continuing to show up for our school community. 💙

Would we go again next year? Absolutely! 🙌

The BWPS P&C Fete is happening 11 September, and we’re looking for a couple of legends who are handy with the tongs and know their way around a barbie to feed the masses! 🍔🌭

Experience in precision sauce placement is not required… 😂
But if you can caramelise onions like an absolute beast, that’s definitely a bonus! 🧅🔥

We’ll even accept an amateur BBQ artist — enthusiasm, tongs and a willingness to get stuck in are all you need!
