The first Silversand camp has started! This little boy is Guinness (4.5 yo Clydesdale x STB) 😍 who is here for a few weeks of further training. He was out with the other horses in the arena this morning and did very well ☺️

Dressage clinic next weekend followed by our series of winter camps! 🏕️
We have very limited spaces left this year, camps are the new favourite with each day starting with a chat in the Emu Shed, a clinic in the morning, and a choose your own adventure in the afternoon, perfect ☺️

You’ll meet likeminded horse people, catch up with old friends you’ve met before, make use of all of our facilities …arenas, obstacles, trails and more! It’s the perfect excuse to spend time with your horse, get away from the daily grind and reset… and of course if you need any extra help on your horsemanship journey just let us know and we’ll book you in for private sessions while you’re here 🐴

Did you know that Working Equitation actually has multiple parts to the competition?

Working equitation competition consists of four phases (Compulsory phases are dressage, ease of handling and speed).

Dressage – encourages harmony between horse and rider. Tests are conducted in a 20m x 40m arena.

Ease of Handling (EOH) – horse and rider demonstrate how calmly, precisely and stylishly they deal with obstacles.

Speed – a test of speed, agility, athleticism using the same obstacles as the Ease of Handling phase.

Cattle – tests the ability of the horse and rider to work cattle individually and with teammates.
