Thank you to Kambalda West District High School for having Goldfields STEM deliver an incursion for Science Week!

Yesterday, we were lucky enough to have Martha from Goldfields STEM join us for some Science Week fun! Students enjoyed the range of hands-on robotics activities offered for all ages. Our thanks to Westgold Resources Limited for funding the event.

National Science Week.... Inspiring the scientists and problem solvers of the future 🔬

Giving children opportunities to experience different areas of science from a young age is about so much more than learning facts.

It’s about building curiosity, encouraging questions, developing problem solving skills and giving students the confidence to explore how and why things work.

The students sitting in our classrooms today may one day be working with scientific concepts, technologies and challenges that don’t even exist yet.

That’s why early exposure to STEM is so important.

We’re not simply preparing students to understand the world as it is today... we’re helping give them the skills to adapt, innovate, solve complex problems and make life better for the people around them.

This National Science Week, let’s keep encouraging our young people to question, experiment, explore and discover 🧪

Teamwork in action💙🤖

The best learning happens when students work together, ask questions and tackle challenges as a team.

From building and testing to troubleshooting and celebrating the wins, every session at Goldfields STEM encourages collaboration, creativity and critical thinking in a hands-on environment.

It's not just about robotics...it's about building confidence, resilience and skills that will last a lifetime.

🎉 Goldfields STEM is excited to be an official activity hub for the KICK (Kids Institute – Curtin Kalgoorlie) program! 🤖

If you haven't heard about KICK yet, it's an amazing initiative for Year 1 to Year 6 students that's only $30 to join! The program encourages local kids to get out into the community, try new activities and discover new interests.

Each time they complete an activity, they earn a stamp in their KICK passport. Once their passport is full, they'll be invited to a real Curtin graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements! 🎓

If you're joining us for a robotics class, don't forget to bring your KICK passport - we'll happily give you a Goldfields STEM stamp! ⭐

Check out the link below to learn more and sign up. We can't wait to be part of your child's KICK journey!

"My child isn't really into robotics..."

I hear this all the time.

The truth is, our classes aren't just about robots.
They're about building confidence.
They're about learning to solve problems.
They're about making friends, working as a team and discovering that it's okay to make mistakes.

Some students walk through the door full of confidence. Others are nervous and don't know anyone.

By the end of the lesson, they're laughing, building, coding and celebrating each other's successes. ❤️

That's what Goldfields STEM is all about.

If you'd like to see it for yourself, we'd love to welcome you to a FREE Thursday trial class for students in Year 5 - Year 8.

No experience is needed - we'll help your child every step of the way.

Hi everyone! 👋

I'd like to take this opportunity to reintroduce myself and let you know that I'll be teaching our Thursday after-school classes this term.

My name is Martha and I am the owner of Goldfields STEM. I started this business to provide more STEM opportunities for students across the Goldfields and to ensure that geography isn't a barrier to accessing high-quality robotics and coding programs.

I pride myself on creating safe, supportive learning environments where every student feels a sense of belonging. Success looks different for every child, and my goal is to help each student build confidence, develop new skills and discover a love of STEM.

If you've been thinking about joining our robotics classes, I'd love to offer you and your child a FREE trial session on Thursday to come along and see what it's all about.

No experience is needed – I'll personally make sure your child has everything they need to get involved in hands-on STEM learning and feel welcome in our classes.

If you're interested, please comment “STEM" below or send us a message. 👇

Thank you all for the incredible support we have received. We are so grateful for this wonderful community that has made our dream a reality. 💛

Thank you to Bright Beginnings OSHC for having us visit last week and get hands-on with science! 🧪

We had so much fun exploring states of matter and how a liquid can change to solid - and the ice cream was great too!

Look at this team go! 🤖

Practicing their driving skills - the aim is to pick up the beanbags one at a time and score points by putting them in “goals”.

Great work team! 9 weeks until our first competition!
