Wollemi was delighted to welcome exchange students from Nagasaki Nishi, Japan, for an exciting introduction to school life and Australian culture.

After being warmly welcomed by their host families, the students joined classes across the College, explored the campus with our Student Representative Council, participated in art and shared reading, and even learned how to pass and kick a footy!

From mastering Aussie slang to discovering some unusual facts about our native animals, it has been a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect and build new friendships.

Thank you to our generous host families, students and staff for making our visitors feel so welcome. We look forward to sharing many more memorable experiences with our new mates!

Wollemi College's inaugural Battle of the Bands was an outstanding celebration of talent, community and live music.

With 12 student acts taking to the stage, the evening showcased an impressive range of musical styles, with each performance demonstrating the dedication, confidence and creativity of our students. Families, staff and students came together to create an atmosphere of encouragement and support, making the event a memorable success from start to finish.

A special thank you to our staff and parent volunteers, the Dads Band, The Infringements, and everyone who contributed behind the scenes to bring this vision to life.

Congratulations to all performers and to our Head of Music, Mr Clemens del Rosario, whose passion and leadership helped make this landmark event possible.

If the first Battle of the Bands is anything to go by, the future of music at Wollemi College is very bright indeed.

Curious minds make the best historians and mathematicians.

Your child's Term 2 was full of discovery. From exploring 200-year-old colonial homesteads to becoming Waste Detectives on the school grounds, sorting real rubbish into data and drawing conclusions from what they found.

These experiences build more than academic skills. They form boys who are curious, responsible, and ready to engage with the world around them. We are proud of the effort and inquisitiveness your child brought to every challenge this term.

What does it mean to truly pray?

Pope Leo XIV recently reflected on the Rosary not as a routine, but as an act of love repeated with devotion, drawing us closer to Christ through the eyes of His Mother.

At Wollemi, we walk alongside your family in nurturing this same faith. Our students have taken part in May pilgrimages to honour Our Lady, and our school community gathered in prayer on the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians, Patroness of Australia.

These moments matter. They form young men who pray with purpose, grow in spiritual maturity, and carry a living faith beyond the classroom.
When faith is lived, not just taught, boys grow into men of genuine virtue and purpose.

Strong families are not built on perfection. They are built on forgiveness, perseverance, humility, and daily acts of love.

At Wollemi, we understand that the home is where your son's formation truly begins. That is why we invest in our families, not just our students.

Our recent parent workshop explored one of the most important aspects of raising boys well: the strength of the relationship between parents at home. Guided by our staff facilitator, parents gathered in small groups to reflect, share, and grow together in a spirit of openness and trust.

We are grateful for every family who walks this journey with us.

The best leaders in the room were once just students who said yes.

At the 2026 Wollemi Leadership Conference, our student leaders gathered to learn from those who have gone before them. Through honest conversations, shared experiences, and a powerful testimony of faith in action, the boys were challenged to grow in values, character, and purpose.

Every opportunity taken at school shapes the man your son is becoming. We are proud to walk that journey alongside your family.

True leadership begins in the small, daily choices your son makes right now.

True leadership is earned, not given.

We are proud that our student leaders were recently honoured at the Penrith City Council School Leaders Reception, recognised among the highest tier of elected student leaders across the Penrith Local Government Area.

This is what we work toward together: young men who lead through service, grow in character, and represent their community with confidence and integrity.

Congratulations to our student leaders. We are proud of you.

Some milestones go far beyond the classroom.

At a recent Secondary Assembly, we proudly recognised the first group of Wollemi students to complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Through self-directed challenges, these young men demonstrated resilience, initiative, and a commitment to growth that extends well beyond school hours.

Their achievement has already inspired a much larger group of students to follow the same path. This is character formation in action, and we could not be prouder.

A heartfelt congratulations to each of these young men on reaching this milestone.

When families grow stronger, so do our boys.

Our Key Parent Function brought Secondary and Year 2 families together for an evening of meaningful conversation, covering the foundations of stronger marriages, Character Education at Wollemi, and a preview of our Strategic Plan 2026-2030: United in Purpose.

Our Family Pilgrimage also brought over 100 families together to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. We prayed for sunshine, and Our Lady delivered. We take this as a sign that every intention placed at her feet is equally heard.

Thank you to every family who joined us. Your presence strengthens our whole community.

What happens when young men are given space to listen, reflect, and grow?

The Wollemi SRC attended the Youth Mental Health Forum, spending the day learning from speakers who shared not just facts, but personal stories about struggle, identity, and the quiet power of showing up for one another.

Your son and his peers left with something more than awareness. They left with a deeper sense of responsibility toward the people around them, and a clearer understanding of what it means to be a source of support.

That kind of formation does not happen by accident. It grows when young men are guided well, and when home and school walk that journey together.
