I help great teachers get out from underneath the workload so they can have a life outside school AND become the present, connected teacher they want to be inside it.

Same kids. Same mountain. A whole lot of growing up in between. đŸ„č⛷

On one side, a little group of five-year-olds in ski school.

On the other, their last XC Interschools Nationals together.

And somewhere between those two photos are years of teachers, coaches, parents and other adults who noticed them, encouraged them, challenged them, laughed with them and helped them become who they are.

This is the part of working with kids that I never want us to lose.

Because teaching was never meant to be just delivering content, completing paperwork and getting through the list.

It’s noticing.

It’s knowing when a child needs a push and when they need someone in their corner.

It’s seeing the kid they are now and sometimes catching a glimpse of the person they’re becoming.

That’s why I care so much about the invisible workload teachers are carrying.

Every unnecessary hour swallowed by admin, emails, duplication, mental lists and “just one more thing” is attention being pulled away from the human part of teaching.

And that human part matters.

You don’t always get to see the “then and now”.

But when you do
 bloody hell. đŸ„č

Same kids. Same mountain.

Look at them now. ❀

If you’re marking or planning at midnight, this is for you.

You are not “behind”.
You’re carrying an unsustainable load without the systems and support you deserve.

Comment MIDNIGHT if that’s you and I’ll send you something that might help.

(And if you’ve got “that” colleague who is always marking at ridiculous hours, share this to their inbox so they know they’re seen.)

You’re not disorganised. You’re overloaded. đŸ€Ż

Sometimes the biggest time drains in teaching are the ones you barely notice.

Take my quick quiz to find out where your time and energy are leaking and where a few small changes could make your week feel a whole lot lighter.

👉 Hit Learn More on my page to take the quiz.

And tag or send this to a teacher who needs to hear: you’re not hopeless at this. You’ve just got a LOT on your plate. ❀

Teachers - how much time disappears into email every week? đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«

Here’s one tiny system I use to stop my inbox eating my day.

📧 Check emails in blocks
⚡ Use quick replies
📝 Flag anything that needs more thought
đŸšȘ Then CLOSE THE EMAIL and get back to teaching.

It’s not about ignoring emails.
It’s about deciding when they get your attention, instead of letting them decide for you.

Small systems like this can give you back hours across a week.

What’s your relationship with your inbox? U nder control or absolute carnage? 😂👇

After nine months of my hip randomly collapsing, plus a Grade 2 calf tear, the MRI finally gave me some answers.

Cartilage damage.
Wear and tear.
Surgeon next.

So for now, I’m in the gym getting stronger.

And it made me think about teachers.

We get very good at working around what isn’t working.

Stay later.
Take it home.
Give up Sunday.
Tell ourselves, “It’s just this term.”

But sometimes the answer isn’t coping better.

It’s finding what’s actually causing the problem.

That’s what my FREE short workload quiz helps teachers do.

👉 Tap Learn More on my page
or comment MRI and I’ll send you the link.

Meanwhile
 rehab era. 😂đŸ’Ș

You are not the problem. The system is.

Teaching has turned into a pile‑on of admin, data and “urgent” tasks that were never meant to live on a human nervous system.

If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I’m just not cut out for this,” please hear this: you are not failing. You’re carrying too much.

If a teacher friend popped into your mind as you read this, tag them or share this to their inbox so they know it’s not just them.

And if this is you, you’re exactly who I’m here for. 💛

If your Sunday has quietly turned into “catch‑up day” for school, you’re not the only one.

For a lot of teachers, Sundays are:

Planning lessons
Printing and prepping
Catching up on marking
Answering the emails you couldn’t get to during the week
By the time Monday arrives, you’ve already worked a day for free.

I’ve created a short, free quiz to help you see where your workload is actually breaking, so you’re not just trying to “be more organised” on top of an impossible load.

👉 You can take it any time via the Learn More button on my page.

Or, if it feels easier, comment QUIZ below and I’ll send you the link privately and check in on what it shows you.

If you’re already tired and it’s only Week 5 of term, this is for you.

You are not failing. You’re carrying an unsustainable load.

Most teachers I speak to are:

Marking at night
Planning on weekends
Answering emails in the cracks
Thinking about school when they’re trying to sleep
If that’s you, you are not alone and you are not “just disorganised”.

Tell me (if you feel safe to share):
👉 What part of your workload feels heaviest right now?

I’ll read and, where I can, I’ll reply with one simple place you might be able to make things a little lighter.
