Como Public School Our school offers a stimulating and vibrant learning environment which caters for your child’s individual needs and talents.

We follow the Department of Education curriculum and supporting materials in conjunction with individual learning programs and goals. At Como Public School, classes are taught by dedicated, highly qualified and enthusiastic teachers. All classes are small in size and supported by school learning and support officers (SLSOs), enabling an increased level of attention for students that ensures each child can reach their full potential. Our school develops leadership skills, builds individual character and promotes social responsibility and respect. This is supported by various academic and sporting pursuits. Our school has an active P&C who support a range of extra curricula activities. We have strong links with the local community and neighbouring schools. In conjunction with Jannali PS, we offer before and after school services. Como Public School provides quality education in a caring environment on the banks of the Georges River. Our Stage 3 film, Out of Order, has been selected to feature at the NSW State Drama Festival: Immersion! 🌟
What a fantastic achievement celebrating the dramatic talent and creativity of our students (and teachers!).
The film will be featured alongside some of the best live student dramatic performances on Wednesday 21 October at 7pm at the Seymour Centre. You are very welcome to purchase tickets.

It was very special to have Sylvia, a long-time member of the Como Public School community, watching our students perform yesterday at Donald Robinson Village.

Sylvia lived in the Como community for 42 years, with both of her children attending Como Public School between 1980 and 1988. Including her daughter, who was Dux of the school!

Over the years, Sylvia gave so much to our school and local community. She served as Canteen Supervisor, spent five years as P&C Treasurer, taught local children to swim at Como Pool and, incredibly, taught Scripture for 31 years.

Today, she had the opportunity to sit back and watch another generation of Como Public School students perform. What a lovely connection between the past and present, and a beautiful reminder of the people who have helped shape our school community over the years. ❤️
