Today’s indoor adventures took us into the world of tiny creatures! Using a magnifying glass, one curious little explorer was completely captivated by our bug tray — eagerly repeating words like “bugs,” “big bugs,” “bug bite me,” and “bugs sleeping” 🐛💬.

It’s such a joy to witness growing vocabulary and scientific curiosity in action 🌿✨ Every little observation is a big step in learning! 💡👀

Today our little artists explored colour mixing, brush strokes and sensory play while creating their own masterpieces outdoors 💛💙💚
From dabbing with fingers to double-brush action to create strokes – the creativity was flowing and so were the giggles! 🎨👒🌿

Rest time done right😴 — cozy beds, fresh air flowing in, the gentle sounds of nature - the birds chirping, the gorgeous countryside view and the comfort of feeling safe and calm. It’s the perfect recipe for a restful nap and a moment of serenity in their busy little days. ✨

At Ash’s Family Day Care, we believe in nurturing not only the little ones in our care, but also the families and community that surround them with love and support.

Today, our hearts are with 10-year-old Lachlan, a brave young boy facing an incredibly tough journey as he battles a rare form of osteosarcoma cancer.

Lachlan and his family are going through an unimaginably difficult time, and they need our support now more than ever. Whether it’s a small donation or simply sharing their GoFundMe page, every act of kindness helps lighten their load.

All funds raised will go directly to Lachlan’s family, helping to ease the financial strain so they can focus on what matters most — being together and supporting Lachlan through his treatment.

🍊 Fresh Orange Juice Sensory Station! 🍊

Our little learner got hands-on with a juicy, citrusy experience at our fresh orange juice sensory station! Using real oranges, the children explored:

✨ Squeezing – building fine motor skills
👃 Smelling – noticing the fresh, zesty scent
👅 Tasting – enjoying a sweet, natural treat
👐 Touching – feeling the textures of the peel and pulp

This sensory play encouraged turn-taking, curiosity, and healthy food awareness in a fun, interactive way.

🌈 Rainbow Rice for Pride Month! 🌈

To celebrate Pride Month, our little ones explored rainbow rice—a fun, colorful sensory activity just right for curious hands!

As they scooped, poured, and played with the vibrant rice, we gently introduced the colors of the rainbow, helping support early learning through play. Each color gave us a chance to talk, name, and explore—building language and sensory awareness.

While they may be small, even our youngest learners are part of a caring space that celebrates diversity, love, and belonging. 🌟
