Today we celebrated our NAPLAN High Achievers and High Growth students at GRC Hurstville Campus!
This event recognises students who achieved “Exceeding” in three or more NAPLAN domains, and Year 9 students who showed positive growth from Year 7 to Year 9. These achievements highlight academic progress and excellence among our students and reflect the dedication and commitment of both our students and teachers.

Fire Class travelled to the Australian Museum to explore the fascinating Bloodsuckers: Nature’s Vampires exhibition!
Students stepped into the world of some of nature’s most unusual creatures, learning about mosquitoes, leeches, ticks, lampreys and vampire bats and the incredible adaptations they use to find and feed on blood. They explored interactive displays, examined specimens and models, used microscopes and even experienced the mozzie swarm simulator! A fang-tastic day of learning, curiosity and community access!

Sydney East Athletics Carnival 2026
Our students gave it their all over two exciting days of competition last week at Sylvania Waters Athletics Track, displaying great athleticism!
We’re so proud of the 10 students that represented GRC Hurstville Campus:

A special congratulations to William K, for placing 3rd in the 15 years boys Shot Put! William only just missed progressing on to state—well done!
All students represented their school with pride, showing excellent sportsmanship and teamwork, especially in the relays.

We’re excited to celebrate the amazing Mindfuel program, helping students develop mindfulness, strengthen their focus, and be more present in the moment.

By nurturing calm, awareness and positive wellbeing, Mindfuel is giving our students valuable skills they can carry into the classroom and beyond.

Today, Fire Class visited the Museum of Illusions for their community access excursion! 🌀👀
Students had a fantastic time exploring the interactive exhibits, optical illusions and mind-bending displays. They challenged their thinking, tested their perception and enjoyed discovering how our eyes and brains can sometimes be tricked!
