Today is our last day at Among the Gums FDC. Whilst this adventure has finished quite a bit earlier than originally anticipated, the amount of joy, pride and love I have felt in this environment for the last 15 months has far exceeded my expectations.

We have all learned from each other and formed friendships that I hope will last a lifetime.

A massive thank you for everyone who has been along for the ride, especially those who chose me to be a part of their children's lives.

My family is now off on an adventure around our beautiful country which we are VERY excited about!

We have been enjoying a beautiful touch and feel book called "Rainbow, Rainbow colours bright"

This morning to extend the children's interest of this book, we created our own touch and feel rainbows.

The little artists had a wonderful time choosing materials they liked the feel of to put on their pictures!

Everyone here is very excited about Easter this weekend!

This morning we talked about things we might see at the Easter Festival in Bendigo, including the Chinese dragons that have been part of the festival since the very beginning, over 150 years ago.

Then we painted our own Chinese lanterns in our favourite colours.

Chinese lanterns are often displayed at festivals. They symbolise fortune and good luck.
