Western Region Bengla School (WRBS) is an ethnic language school targeting the second generation Australian Bangladeshis living in the north- western suburbs of Melbourne. It is a non-profit organization [established in 2006 and incorporated in 2007 under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 Section 7] in Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne with the goal of promoting Bangla literacy and numeracy and pa

ssing on the rich Bangladeshi cultural heritage to our next generation Australian-Bangladeshi population. A Community Language Provider

In order to meet expectations of a growing Bengali speaking population of western region of Melbourne as well as to enhance the practice of Bengali language and culture among the young generation, it has been providing Bengali language, cultural and sports services since its establishment. It is one of the three schools in Victoria to teach Bengali language and culture to children aged between 5 to 16 (which is prep to secondary VCE level) for the children of Bangladeshi heritage. We offer sequential programs in Bengali language learning areas that are structured on multi-age principles. In addition to these programs we offer an extensive range of special programs including sports, excursions and incursions to teach students about wildlife, health and environment using Bengali language. The school philosophy ensures that we cater for a broad range of Bangladeshi linguistic, cultural and sports expectations which are apparent in our multicultural society. Focus on Language and Culture
It is based on the firm belief that each student needs to has strong sense of self-esteem, strive to reach their full potential understand the concept that in Australia, people with ethnic backgrounds are able to live together without having to abandon their culture and languages in order to merge into a more inclusive culture and society.

Wyndham Tech School Visit – Expression of Interest

Western Region Bangla School is organising a visit to Wyndham Tech School located at Victoria University, Werribee Campus.

Location: Building 14, Gate 2 via Hoppers Lane, Werribee VIC 3030
Date: Thursday, 16 April
Time: 12.45 PM

This visit is open to high school students only. Students can attend with their parents, otherwise students will go with WRBS 's teachers.

There are only 15 spots available for students, and participation will be on a first come, first served basis.
