Master Chef Kids 😋🧁🍪🥤

Every fortnight we do our Master Chef Kids. Children have the opportunity to cook by making cakes, juices and cookies. Everything healthy. Today we made a cheese biscuit and the children played with the dough making balls, snakes and some Christmas shapes. They had a opportunity to work with the 5 senses. Touching making shapes with the dough, smelling when it was in the oven, hearing the instructions, seeing it growing and tasting when it was ready. They also took it home to share with their family.

Frame it Project. The Project involved painting, recycling and collage. There are many benefits of painting for children including sensory development, colour learning, fine motor development, exercising creativity, being able to express emotions and building self esteem. In our project the children chose the animals they wanted to paint, learning to make their own decisions, they also painted the frames that were made from recycled material, cardboard.The children also worked with a collage by gluing the animals to the frame.

Let’s celebrate the winter season and show our kids how cool it can be. They cut out a magazine and made balls to stick on the snowman, they coloured a beanie and glued cotton balls on that and for the ultimate fun we watched a video of a Toboggan. Then we did ours own basket Toboggan putting it on the top of two cushions with a white blanket pretending that it is snow. I moved the basket with my hands and the kids had fun pretending that they were inside of the Toboggan. The mothers gave me permission to post the children's faces.

I sourced these super cool stick paints from Bunnings. The children had made dolls with yellow hats, and were colouring in the road for them to walk on!

Book Week - Let’s invite our children

So enjoy reading your favourite childhood books, and pass on the magic to your treasured children today. So they can remember the joy of book from their parents, and hold the love in their heart forever.

Let’s read a book Peep inside the farm. Tomorrow I will take the children on a farm land adventure, we will read an amazing book to inspire their imagination. Then we can play with the animal toys to expand on their creative minds.🌸
