🌿 Learning on Country at Simmos Beach! 🖤💛❤️

Yesterday, our Years 3–6 First Nations students enjoyed an incredible day of culture, connection and hands-on learning — from a Smoking Ceremony and making wattle leaf soap to bushwalking, carving and throwing boomerangs, and learning sustainable fishing practices.

A huge thank you to our Elder, Greg, and Julie-Ann from GREEC for sharing their knowledge and culture with our students. What an awesome day on Country!

📚 Book Week Visit for Kindergarten!

Our Kindergarten students loved welcoming students from Holsworthy High School for a special Book Week visit last Friday! It was wonderful to see older students—including some former students—sharing their love of reading and stories with our youngest learners.

Congratulations to Isabelle, who won the colouring competition! 🎉

💚Yesterday, Georgia and Zarlee proudly represented our school at the First Nations Public Speaking Competition.

💛The girls did an amazing job presenting both a prepared speech and an impromptu speech.

💚A special congratulations to Georgia who achieved 1st place!

💛Thank you to East Hills Boys High School for hosting the event and to all the other participants - you all did a wonderful job.

💚Well done, Georgia and Zarlee. You should both be very proud of yourselves!

Crazy Hair Day is coming in Week 8! 💜💚💛

Crazy Hair Day is an initiative proudly endorsed by the Alopecia Areata Foundation Australia (AAAF), helping to raise awareness and support for Australians living with alopecia.

This cause holds special meaning for one of our SRC members, Serg, who brought the idea of Crazy Hair Day to our SRC. We’re proud to support a cause that was suggested by one of our own students. 💜

🎉 Congratulations to all our award recipients at today’s assembly!

🏆 Today, Zarlee, Kaitlin, Reegan and Jack attended Holsworthy High School to compete in the CoS Challenge Cup.

They participated in a range of activities, including tug-of-war, finska, basketball, relays and hand-eye coordination challenges.

Their outstanding teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills earned them 1st place overall!

Congratulations to our students, as well as the teams from Holsworthy PS and Hammondville PS, for a fantastic day of competition and sportsmanship.
