Did anyone else watch this show when it released in Australia? I absolutely loved it even though it was in ASL. 🥰

It was on this date (March 4, 2013) an episode of Switched at Birth was aired that made history. The dialogue of the entire show was in ASL. Producers of the ABC Family program (now known as Freeform) say this was the first time a scripted series on mainstream television used only American Sign Language.

Introducing Auslan social club ✨

This is a social club open to ALL Auslan users. 🙌🏼

Social club is intended for other Auslan users to meet new and familiar faces. 📩 The minimum requirement to attend is knowing more than just being able to converse with basic signs but more than just finger spelling. This club is FREE to attend but RSVP is required to secure your spot also drinks or food purchased are at your own expense. 😊

This club is not for people to learn Auslan or ask others to teach Auslan during the social time. There is time and place for that. 🙅🏼‍♀️
