For the Cat 🐈 lovers from Donna. ❤️

A beautifully pieced and appliquéd, huge flannelette quilt with wool cats, flannelette backing and wool/poly wadding.

Quilted with the Leaf it to me e2e and lilac Glide 40w thread.
I have sideways loaded the quilt top to have the broken hearts run down the quilt.
Donna has made the quilt top wider 107” to drape over the sides of the bed, hence the cats face the right direction.

I have stitched the binding on with the longarm ready for Donna to finish hand sewing.
A warm and cuddly quilt as a tribute to Donna’s cats.

Yay! Finally finished custom quilting Jill’s delicately embroidered quilt. 😍

Nans Cottage Garden block of the month by Libby Richardson with beautiful single thread hand dyed embroidery and appliqué. It is just stunning. ❤️
Jill was very adamant I wasn’t to stitch over the embroidery and being single thread, I wasn’t keen to either.

Therefore the centre and flower embroidery blocks have just enough free motion quilting to balance the quilt and anchor them down. All other quilting patterns are digital and all ditched with 60w Linen Glide thread.

Jill supplied cotton wadding which doesn’t give as much fullness to the quilting. Jill is looking forward to hanging her quilt in her beautiful home.

A beautifully pieced Aussie quilt by Roslyn. 😍 Roslyn made this quilt in tribute to the kookaburra’s that frequent her garden.

Quilted with bamboo wadding and Glide Linen thread.
The digital quilting pattern was a block pattern in the Prostitcher library by Darlene Epp. It was a simple tweak in Art and Stitch to turn it into an e2e.

When your Agronomist daughter, Delanie says “Mum will you make me a queen size, pieced quilt, that’s all greens and lightly custom quilt it?”❤️
(You can guess why Delanie likes green😜)

Delanie chose the Bloom and Glow quilt pattern by Heck Yes Sew Co. Colours chosen were the Tea Green and Leaf Green Kona fabrics and an off white with little ferns.
I can’t say I enjoyed all the extra trimming required in the pattern but it was a fun, effective one to make with 20” blocks.

Delanie assisted in the quilting design wanting to highlight the secondary pattern of circles. I’ve kept it simple with patterns, a lot of curved ditching and ruler work on the leaf green.
We searched everywhere for a green gingham backing and settled on a green check with Wool wadding.

Delanie lives in far North Queensland, the tropics, where it’s very humid in Summer, therefore her quilt will be used a lot, as doonas are just too hot.

I’m pleased my children/young adults appreciate I can make them quilts. 😊

Another beautiful Japanese panel quilt by Maddie. 😍

Maddie supplied wool/poly wadding and chose lavender Glide 40w thread.

The e2e chosen was one I drew many years ago in the meander anything template in Art and Stitch with butterflies and a nave flower. For Maddies Japanese style quilt I changed the flower to a blossom I drew to suit the quilt.

Woohoo! Home from an epic trip around Oz teaching Prostitcher! 🫶🏻

Firstly Jan had her second workshop with me. A little Art and Stitch learning to photograph her quilt, place it as a background in Art and Stitch and draw a simple continuous pattern for the kaleidoscope blocks, and manipulating an existing design to fit in the half Dresden’s. Lots of ruler work where I saw Jan’s confidence grow. A grand achievement setting the crosshatch pattern around the Dresdens. A stunning quilt by Jan.

I had first met Robyn 9 yrs ago at my very first Art and Stitch workshop in Oberon. This time Robyn chose to quilt my Abbey Baby Quilt whole pattern design and learn how to set borders with an e2e body. We had some long days/nights and Robyn has done some fantastic quilting applications on her quilts.

Shauna is a new student and new to Australia from the UK. We had a wonderful time, teaching Shauna ruler work and custom quilting on her beautiful quilts. Lots of fun designing the modern quilt and learning lots of applications. Shauna is looking forward to her next workshop after achieving success in custom quilting.

Ilse had her 5th workshop with me. We certainly have become great friends. We spent the day setting up layouts in Prostitcher simulation for borders and e2e body for her donation Veteran quilts and quilted out one to take Ilse through the steps of using the layouts. So many lucky people to be receiving her beautiful quilts.

Thankyou to these amazing ladies and hubbies for the kind hospitality. I have had some high achievers this year and made some wonderful friends in our quilting community. ❤️

I’m looking forward to next year’s Australia trip. Expression of interests are welcome for Prostitcher/ArtandStitch Workshops 2027! 😊

Another one of Maddie’s beautiful panel quilts for the shop, Devine Objects in Deloraine Tasmania. 😍

Maddie made the Asian style panel quilt with a traditional style border. I’ve quilted it with Glide 40w black thread with my Roman fans e2e and wool/poly wadding.

The metro rings quilt was made by a lady that passed away and given to Maddie by her husband. It’s amazingly made from a crinkle cheese cloth and I’m presuming a high thread count sateen sheet. The piecing would have been difficult but sew well done. 👏🏻

I’ve quilted it with my Roses all over e2e and Glide Linen 40w thread.

Thankyou Maddie they are both stunning quilts. 😊

Cheri has made many many Quiltworx quilts and tells me this is the last large one she intends to make. Cheri searched for this pattern for a long time as it’s an older pattern called Rainbow Hosta. It is just stunning and perfectly pieced. 😍
Quilted with sea mist Glide 40w thread and wool/poly wadding with the twist feath e2e from the prostitcher library.

I think Cheri should make another big one as I’d love to custom quilt one of these. 😜

Roslyn has made many quilts for grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their children.

This cute 🥰 turtle one for a family member with machine embroidered turtle in the centre, has bamboo wadding and digital quilting with my rolling sea e2e and Glide 40w thread.

I love this digital quilting pattern as it looks great as a fill or e2e, any size. And can pass as the ocean or windy skies.
