Father’s Day Raffle: Tickets are just $1 each, with the chance to win one of two fantastic BBQ prize packs for Dad and the family. Each pack includes a $100 Kawungan Quality Meats gift voucher!

📅 The Week Ahead

🏝️ Year 3 students enjoyed an unforgettable excursion to beautiful K’gari last Friday, exploring one of Queensland’s most unique natural environments.

From discovering the island’s rich history and diverse ecosystems to taking in the stunning landscapes, students embraced every opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. Experiences like these help bring learning to life while encouraging curiosity, teamwork and a deeper appreciation for the world around us.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate a wonderful collection of food and household items to support individuals and families in need within our local community. Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference.

🏕️ Earlier this year, our Year 4 students embarked on their very first school camp adventure at QCCC Mapleton on the beautiful Sunshine Coast!

Over two days and one night, students stepped outside their comfort zones and embraced a range of exciting outdoor, adventure-based and team-building activities in a safe and supportive environment.

The camp provided valuable opportunities for students to develop their independence, resilience and social skills while strengthening friendships and building confidence through shared experiences and new challenges.

🤩 From trying new activities to creating lasting memories with their classmates, our Year 4 students truly rose to the occasion. We are so proud of the courage, teamwork and enthusiasm they displayed throughout this special milestone in their Xavier journey.

🌼 Today, our Xavier community joins people across Australia in recognising Daffodil Day and supporting those affected by cancer.

Daffodil Day is an opportunity to come together, raise awareness and help fund vital cancer research that brings us closer to a future where no one has to face cancer alone.

We encourage our Xavier community to show their support in whatever way they can, from donating, to wearing a touch of yellow.

🏀 What an incredible achievement for our Years 7/8 Basketball team, who recently travelled to the Gold Coast to compete in the CBSQ Shield tournament.

The team produced an outstanding performance across the tournament, losing just one game and finishing with the Bronze Medal. But the achievement doesn’t stop there. Their result has secured the team a place at the CBSQ Major Tournament, where they will compete for the title of Champion Basketball School in Queensland.

This marks the first time a Xavier team has progressed to the Shield level, and they have now taken it one step further by qualifying for the Major Tournament. It is a fantastic milestone for our Basketball program and a reflection of the hard work, determination and commitment shown by this group.

The team now has one year to prepare to take on some of the very best school basketball teams from across Queensland.

👏🏼 A huge congratulations and thank you to our players, families and coach for the commitment, support and dedication that has made this achievement possible. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings!

🌼 Tomorrow, we come together to support Daffodil Day, Cancer Council’s iconic annual campaign raising vital funds for life-saving cancer research and supporting Australians impacted by cancer.

🥎 We are incredibly proud to celebrate Drai, who recently represented Queensland in the Under 14 Softball Team!

This outstanding achievement is a testament to Drai's dedication, hard work, and passion for the sport. Being chosen to compete at a state level is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the commitment he has shown both on and off the pitch.

Drai will travel to the National Championships in January, where he will compete against the best young softball players from across Australia.

👏 Congratulations, Drai! We wish you all the very best as you prepare for this exciting opportunity. We can't wait to follow your journey and cheer you on at Nationals!

🧑🏼‍🍳 Recently, our Year 12 Hospitality students were fortunate to participate in an excursion to Odyssey Bistro.

We sincerely thank Jason and the chefs for their warm welcome, professionalism and generosity in sharing their knowledge and expertise. Students experienced a unique and thoughtfully balanced menu that showcased exceptional flavour profiles while utilising many local ingredients.

✅ The knowledge and inspiration gained from this valuable experience will support students as they prepare for their final Hospitality event in Term 4.
