Thank you to the families that came to Wildflowers sustainable nature based playgroup today. We enjoyed the beautiful warm, sunshine, as we engaged in a session inspired by science week.
⛵️We explored floating and sinking
🎣magnets through fishing, blocks and shapes,
🎈we blew up balloons using the reaction of vinegar and bi-carb.
🐔We learnt about what a broody chicken is, why she sits on the eggs and how she created her nest, we then visited Caramel the broody hen in her pen.
And so much more playdough, painting, stories, potion play, and drawing.
Didn't get many photos of the fun and adventures as we were having way to much fun

After a wet and windy week, looking for something to do to get out of the house.

Tomorrow's (Friday 21.08.26) weather is looking good for Wildflowers Sustainable nature based playgroup at River Heads 9.30-11.30am, the session will be inspired by 'Science Week'.

To all the families that were booked for today, I am so sorry but I will have to cancel and reschedule the session. It is just to wet, and I need to ensure everyone's safety, please let me know if you can attend Fridays session 21.08.26 or I will create a new session on Monday 24.08 26 for you to attend. Just let me know what you would like to do.

Thank you to our new and returning families for attending yesterday's Wild Bunches session at Wildflowers Sustainable nature based playgroup.
🌞The weather was perfect 🐘as we used our imaginations to go on an Elephant hunt', through the sensory trays of grass, water, mud, and the forest, where we found a cave.
🎶We explored sounds on the music wall,
🐝used our fine motor skills to fill up the sensory honeycomb and colour the flowers
🍊Cut and juiced our own snack
🧪Created potions.
🐔fed the chickens (they needed a day spa and rest after a the fun)
🐾I had a setting up and packing down helper

This session will be inspired by World elephant, Lizard and honey bee day.

We will be going on a sensory elephant hunt, filling in the sustainable sensory bee hive, creating playdough lizards and having a tea party in the bee hive Cafe. Come along and join in the fun 🐝

Thank you to our dedicated beautiful family that attended our Bloom and Branch session today. The children were full of curiosity, adventure and creativity, as they
🏎created a drag car with the large loose parts,
🌈used the mallets to discover what colour would splat out from under the hearts,
🐔🥚fed the chickens, collected the eggs,
🥒harvested fresh beans and cucumbers
💧 watered the veggie gardens
🍊cut and juiced their own oranges to have juice
And so much more.
