Last week, we came together to learn, listen and reflect as part of National Reconciliation Week. Through stories, art, music and meaningful conversations, the children explored the importance of respect, culture and connection to Country.

We had an egg-cellent time celebrating Easter with our little ones! 🎉 The day was filled with laughter, fun, and lots of colorful memories — from an exciting Easter egg hunt 🥚 to creative craft activities, cheerful face painting, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny himself! 🐰✨

🎃🪔 This week at A2Z Childcare and Kindergarten, we had an amazing time celebrating both Halloween and Diwali! From spooky costumes and pumpkin crafts to colorful diyas and festive lights, our kids enjoyed a blend of cultures, learning, and fun. Celebrating diversity brings us together, and we're grateful for these shared moments of joy and discovery. Happy Halloween and Happy Diwali to all! 🎉

🎉 Yesterday was Crazy Hair Day at A2Z Childcare, and it was awesome! Our amazing educators had a blast getting creative with the kids' hairstyles. From wild and wacky to colorful and fun, the imagination was flowing all day! 🌈🌀💥 Thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun and made it a day to remember!

✨ Last week, we had an unforgettable Book Week celebration at A2Z Childcare and Kindergarten! 🎉📚 Our little ones dressed up as their favorite characters, enjoyed fun face painting, and listened to some amazing visitors reading their favorite stories. 🌟 Science Week at A2Z Childcare and Kindergarten 🌟

Last week, we were sparking curiosity and encouraging little scientists to explore the wonders of the world around them! From fun experiments to hands-on activities, our children dived into the magic of science. We loved seeing their eyes light up with excitement and discovery. 🧪🔬🌍

The children all enjoyed celebrating and learning about NAIDOC week throughout the centre!

In our Kinder Program:
For NAIDOC Week with the theme “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud.” We talked about the poster of this theme, and learnt symbols and new Aboriginal songs.

In addition, to dive deeper and reinforce the children's understanding of Aboriginal stories, we followed the “Bunjil” story. The children showed such a keen interest that we have started a BIG project! Making a video of Bunjil’s story!

Firstly, our children drew items that we need for the video, including Bunjil, the Sun, stars and everything that Bunjil created.
Secondly, we will let children use the App “iMotion” to take photos and retell the story in their way.
Eventually, we will have a few children verbally repeat the story that they learnt and record their voices to dub our video.

This project will last for weeks, and here are some pictures of our children engaging in this activity and some of their precious works.

Last week, we came together to celebrate Reconciliation Week, a time to reflect, learn, and build stronger relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. At A2Z Childcare and Kindergarten, we are committed to fostering an environment of respect, understanding, and inclusivity. Cultural Storytelling Sessions: We shared Dreamtime stories, teaching our little ones about the rich heritage and traditions of Australia's First Nations.
Art and Craft Activities: Children created beautiful artwork inspired by Aboriginal art, learning about the significance of symbols and stories depicted in traditional paintings.
Music and Dance: Experienced the joy of Indigenous music and dance, celebrating the vibrant culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Interactive Learning: Special activities and discussions designed to educate our children on the importance of reconciliation and the history of our land.
