This week, our centre was filled with peeps, chirps, and pure joy! 🐥

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Henny Penny program for providing us with the incredible experience of hatching chicks. The children have been observing the lifecycle up close, practicing patience, and learning empathy as they watched these tiny creatures emerge. 🐣

It’s moments like these that create lasting memories and foster a love for nature and science in our children. Thank you for bringing this excitement to our centre! 🥚

Our centre was filled with the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival! 🌕

The children enjoyed learning about this beautiful tradition through stories, song, and dance, culminating in performances and shows. 🐇

We then welcomed our families for a mooncake-making workshop. 🥮 The whole centre was buzzing with excitement and the sweet aroma of our handmade treats.

A huge thank you to our educators, kitchen team, and families who celebrated with us. It was a wonderful reminder of the joy of community and tradition. 💛

We were delighted to welcome the dentists and nurses from Little Chompers for a special educational incursion. Laying the foundation for lifelong healthy habits.

The session was designed to make oral hygiene fun and accessible for our little learners. Through interactive tools like puppets, books, and visual aids, the children explored:
🪥The correct technique for brushing their teeth.
🍎The difference between "everyday" foods and "sometimes" treats.🍬
🦷The importance of visiting the dentist.

Following the interactive presentation, the Little Chompers team provided a complimentary dental check-up and a take home dental pack for all participating children.

Celebrations had begun! Our stall was buzzing at the Box Hill Town Hall Moon Festival last weekend.

We loved making playdough mooncakes with the children, who mixed vibrant colours together and stamped away with different mooncake moulds. We also had resources set up that build fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.

Our incredible Kinder children took to the stage! We are bursting with pride at how brave and courageous they were, standing up in front of a large public audience to perform a song and recite Chinese poems. It was such an honour to be invited to perform.

A massive thank you to our families for spending their weekend with us and supporting the children!

We were honoured to open our doors and take part in the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) Open Day recently. The ACA plays a vital role in our industry, and we were proud to showcase our centre to fellow industry professionals.

We had the pleasure of hosting approximately 30 visitors from across our region, including fellow educators, Approved Providers, and industry leaders. It was a fantastic opportunity to present our programs and facilities and exchange insights with our peers.

We are incredibly proud of our team and the environment we have created for our children. Thank you to the ACA and our fellow services for a wonderful day of networking and knowledge sharing!

Thank you to the amazing families who joined us for the fun. ⚽The soccer matches brought plenty of cheers, the Kinder performances melted hearts🎶, and a surprise visit from Spider-Man had everyone buzzing with excitement.🕷️

The morning tea, featuring cakes, nuggets, potato gems, jelly, and fruit cups was enjoyed.🍰 The sausage sizzle was a hit! 🌭And the coffee stall was just as popular, keeping the grown-ups happily caffeinated all morning! ☕️

The center is so grateful to the families for their continued support and for making this such a memorable event.❤️

Worms, Plants & Recycling Incursion🪱🌍💚💚
Our children enjoyed an exciting hands-on incursion exploring worms, plants, and recycling! They discovered what plants need to grow, including sunlight, water, and nutrients, and had the opportunity to gently touch and observe worms up close.
Through this experience, children learned how worms help keep soil healthy and how fruit and vegetable scraps can be recycled and even used to regrow new plants. It was a wonderful opportunity to spark curiosity and encourage children to think about sustainability, caring for our environment, and the natural world around us.
