🐝✨ Bee Week in Pre-Kinder 1 ✨🐝

As part of our special Bee Week at Precious Seeds, the children explored engaging bee-themed sensory tubs filled with hands-on learning experiences.

Sensory play supported children to build concentration, develop social interactions, and strengthen language skills as they explored, shared, and discovered together. It also helped deepen their understanding of the world around them in a meaningful and playful way 🌼

The children extended their learning by creating bees using play dough 🐝✨. This supported the development of fine motor strength, creativity, and imaginative play as they shaped and designed their own unique bees.

🧁 Happy International Baking Day! 🧁

Our Toddler 2 children had a wonderful time making delicious chocolate chip muffins together! The children were actively involved in mixing the ingredients, learning about ingredient names and quantities, and carefully scooping the batter into patty pans.

They also enjoyed sprinkling chocolate chips on top and showed great teamwork by taking turns, collaborating, and waiting patiently throughout the experience. Even the children who chose not to participate directly were curious observers and enjoyed watching the baking process.

The best part of all was sharing and enjoying the freshly baked muffins together for afternoon tea! 💛

🧘‍♀️ Yoga Time in our Pre-Kinder Room 🧘‍♂️

Our Pre-Kinder children have been enjoying wonderful yoga sessions run by our teacher, Niketa. Through these engaging experiences, the children are developing their balance, coordination, concentration, and overall wellbeing.

Yoga also provides opportunities for children to practise relaxation, mindfulness, and body awareness in a calm and supportive environment. The children loved exploring different poses, movements, and breathing exercises while having fun together! 💛

🌱 Hands-On Learning at Precious Seeds 🌱

At Precious Seeds, we believe in planting the seeds for children’s future through meaningful hands-on learning experiences. Our children have been actively exploring a variety of loose parts table setups, using their creativity, imagination, and collaborative problem-solving skills.

With a wide range of big and small loose parts available, the children designed and constructed imaginative creations including homes, castles, bug homes, zoos, and party houses. Through this engaging play, they explored balance, spatial awareness, and construction while confidently expressing their individual ideas and working together with peers.

It has been wonderful to see the children extend their learning, make creative choices, and stay deeply engaged throughout the experience. 💛

🩺 Celebrating International Nurses Day in our Kinder room!

Our little learners enjoyed exploring a mini check-up corner filled with hands-on experiences and imaginative play. From making their own stethoscopes and caring for babies during check-ups to reading books about the human body and practising with medical kits, bandages, and flashcards — the children embraced the role of healthcare heroes with enthusiasm and curiosity.

These engaging activities encouraged empathy, communication, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the important role nurses play in our community. 💙✨

What a beautiful celebration we shared this week for Sri Lankan and Tamil New Year with our wonderful team. It was made even more special as it also marked our approved provider’s birthday. Everyone contributed to a delicious spread of Sri Lankan and multicultural dishes, adding so much flavour and joy to the day. We feel truly blessed to be part of such a caring and united team and management.
