Greensborough Guitar School aims to provide a structured learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels.
I provide private tuition from my home studio in Greensborough. Fees are comparable with standard rates in the area. The first lesson is used to assess the needs of the student and is completley free and without obligation.

General information
Welcome to Greensy guitar School. My name is Steve Booth and I would like to tell you a bit about myself. I was born in 1952 and took up guitar at 12 years of age on a guitar with palm trees on it. I did a paper round to buy my first real guitar, a Framus 12 string in the mid 1960's. I played in my first band in 1967 playing covers at weddings and local dance halls. I played by ear in this band which wasn't a bad thing, but I wanted more. Finally in 1976 I learnt notation and music theory from Bruce Clarke over a 2 year period using the highly acclaimed Modern Method for Guitar from the Berklee School of Music. So that's how I learnt to play.
I opened the guitar school to pass on what I have learned in over 40 years of playing. My charter in teaching is to challenge and inspire. There is no point in pushing someone who doesn't have the desire to learn. It must be a balance of effort and reward. That is my challenge.
