Screen Time Limit

We're finding a better balance between technology and learning.

From Term 1, 2027, NSW public schools will introduce age-based limits on student screen use in the classroom.

The new guidelines will:
• limit daily screen use from preschool through to Year 12
• recommend at least 1 hour a day of learning with pen and paper
• reduce reliance on screens as the default way of learning
• keep digital literacy as part of the curriculum.

The goal is to help students stay focused, strengthen reading, writing and maths skills, and create a healthier balance between technology and learning.

What a fantastic PBL Reward Day! 🎉

Students who achieved Bronze and Silver level had an amazing time celebrating in the hall with some well-deserved special treats, including delicious pizza, refreshing drinks and icy cold ice blocks. 🍕🥤🍦

A special highlight of the day was a visit from Giannie the Genie, who spent time with our students, reminding them of the importance of being Safe, Respectful, Responsible and Cooperative every day.

We are so proud of our students for their hard work, positive choices and commitment to our school values. Congratulations to all of our Bronze and Silver achievers - we loved celebrating your wonderful achievements and can't wait to see even more students reach their PBL goals next term! 🌟👏

Celebrating Student Success

Minh, from Class Larimar, was so excited to share his published recount with Mrs Marinos this morning after editing and typing it on the computer. Muhammad was also excited to showcase his work!

Their writing was all about the wonderful excursion to Symbio Wildlife Park yesterday, and they both did a fantastic job reflecting on their experience. Well done!

As we wrapped up our final Monday morning assembly for Term 3, we were excited to welcome a very special guest – our PBL mascot, Giannie the Genie! 🧞✨

Giannie helped share an exciting update about our upcoming PBL Reward Day, happening this Thursday at school. Students who have achieved Bronze and/or Silver PBL awards will receive a special treat from Giannie as a reward for consistently demonstrating our school values and positive behaviours.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients! We are so proud of everyone's efforts and can't wait to celebrate with you on Thursday. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏🌟
