As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations back in Week 3, we were incredibly lucky to welcome a very special visitor to our school community, Mr Peter Jensen, which was rescheduled to last Friday 21 August.

Peter is a proud Indigenous man, firefighter and passionate community member who generously shared his culture, inspiration, humour and knowledge with our students.

Our students had the opportunity to listen and learn through storytelling, yidaki playing and engaging cultural learning activities. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect, learn and celebrate Aboriginal culture and knowledge.

A huge thank you to Peter for sharing your stories, culture and knowledge with us! ❤️💛🖤

We are super excited to see all the wonderful costumes and can’t wait to celebrate Book Week with everyone! 📖✨

🍰After the parade - There will be lots of delicious treats available to purchase. Please note, EFTPOS will not be available, so cash will be required.

📚Book Fair - Our Book Fair also starts tomorrow in the library! There will be EFTPOS available for purchases.

We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up and ready to celebrate! 🌟📚
