Writing Workshops

In our January writing workshops, students will learn how to craft powerful sentences, build strong paragraphs, and write amazing essays. Each workshop is limited to just four students, ensuring every participant receives personalised guidance and detailed feedback on their writing development.

Workshops Include:
In-Person (Thornlie) - 13th, 14th, & 15th of January from 10am - 11.30am. Total cost is $225 per student.

Online - 20th, 21st, & 22nd of January from 10am - 11.30am. Total cost is $200 per student.

Christmas reminders 🎄❤️

Christmas Reminders (Autism Edition) from - relevant for the entire holiday season:

* You don't have to do what everyone else is doing
* Take time out in a quiet space when needed
* You are allowed to say no
* Noise, lights, social stuff and change can be hard
* It's okay to stick with your normal safe foods
* Be kind to yourself
* Good emotions can be overwhelming too
* Routine and normality will return soon

Writing Club ✍️

We’ll be introducing some new online clubs in 2025…the first of which will be our writing club!

On this International Day of People with Disabilities, it’s important to remember that not all disabilities are visible…but every disabled person deserves effective support!

International Day of People with Disability - Australia

We are always so grateful when schools welcome us to visit our awesome students during the school day. It can make such a difference for our little ones, especially those who get so tired after school.

We understand how difficult it can be to find a free space for visitors to the school to use though…which is why our speechie is great at making any space into the perfect work space!

A bench near the playground was all that was needed this week 🐞

We are enjoying a wonderful family holiday on the Gold Coast, and wanted to share the amazing experience we all had at Movie World!

Firstly, with our two young adults’ companion cards, we were able to get entry for all 4 of us, for under $60!

Then we were guided to the guest services to get a blue wristband that allowed a priority wait time for rides. We showed the band to each ride attendant, and they held a spot in the queue for us. We were then given a time to come back, and on return, we were placed at the front of the queue! This way we didn’t have to manage the stress that can be caused by waiting in line!

The staff were amazing! There was no judgment, and no need to justify any required support. There was also a quiet room available, if needed.

We are all so impressed with the neurodivergent affirming experience we had at Warner Bros. Movie World - Gold Coast, Australia! And we will definitely be back ❤️ 🌻
