💙 SOMETIMES THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IS THE ONE YOU TAKE TOWARDS CONNECTION. 💙

When I started MENtor ECE, I wasn’t trying to create another program or another event.

I was trying to create something I wish existed when I first entered Early Childhood Education a place where men could connect, support one another, and know they weren’t alone.

As men in this profession, we often spend our days supporting children, families, colleagues, and our communities. Yet many of us rarely take the time to invest in our own wellbeing or build connections with others who truly understand the journey.

That’s why I’m inviting you to join me for our next Walk and Talk.

It’s not about networking.

It’s about people.

That’s why I’ve created the MENTor Session at Mingara, a space for men in the Early Childhood sector to come together, connect, share experiences, support one another, and have genuine conversations.

🚶‍♂️💙 Today was the first MENTor ECE Walk and Talk at Terrigal Haven.

While the turnout wasn’t what I had hoped for, I’m incredibly grateful that my biggest supporters my family, came along to walk beside me and support the vision behind MENTor ECE.

Starting something new isn’t always easy. Building a community takes time, patience, and persistence. Today’s walk reminded me why I started MENTor ECE in the first place: to create opportunities for connection, support, and conversations around men’s mental health in the Early Childhood sector.

Every movement starts with a single step, and today was another step forward.

To my family, thank you for believing in me, supporting my ideas, and showing up when it matters most. Your encouragement means more than you’ll ever know.

This is only the beginning. We’ll keep walking, keep talking, and keep building a community where men who educate with heart feel supported, connected, and valued.
