Why You Still Feel Stuck... Even Though The Toxic Relationship Is Over

You left. Or maybe they left.

You've read the books. You've listened to the podcasts. You follow all the 'experts'.

You've prayed. You've forgiven. You've gone to counselling.

You've tried to move on... ...and yet something still isn't right.

You're functioning. You're making decisions. You're smiling again.

But deep down... life still feels a little flat. A little heavy. A little disconnected.

The freedom you hoped would come after the relationship... never fully arrived.

You thought that once the narcissist was gone, everything would simply fall back into place.

Instead, you still find yourself questioning your decisions, struggling to trust people, battling anxiety, feeling emotionally exhausted, or wondering why you just can't seem to become the person you used to be.

If that's you... you're not doing anything wrong. The problem is that you haven't been shown what's really been happening beneath the surface.

In this FREE 90-minute webinar you'll discover:
✨ Why healing has felt so much harder than you expected.
✨ Why so many traditional approaches help... but often leave you feeling like something is still missing.
✨ What toxic relationships actually do to your heart, mind, body and spirit.
✨ Why you can leave the relationship... but still carry the relationship within you.
✨ And, most importantly, how God designed healing to bring you back into freedom, purpose, hope and abundant life.

Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10) Those aren't just words to hang on your wall. They are God's promise for you.

If your life still feels more like survival than abundance... then perhaps this is the missing piece you've been searching for.

We'd love you to join us for our FREE Webinar on Monday 3rd August to find out more. Sign up today: www.findinghome.com.au/webinar

Have you become so used to surviving... that you've forgotten what it feels like to truly live?

Sometimes life doesn't fall apart all at once. Instead, little by little, we lose pieces of ourselves.

We stop dreaming. We stop expecting things to change. We become so familiar with carrying heaviness, disappointment and confusion that it simply becomes... normal.

We tell ourselves, "This is just life." But Jesus never said that was the life He came to give us. In fact, He said the exact opposite.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

That isn't just a nice verse for a coffee mug. It's a promise.

A promise that there is more. More peace. More freedom. More joy. More purpose.
More of the life you were created to live.

If your heart has been quietly asking, "Is this all there is?" perhaps that's not dissatisfaction... perhaps it's God gently reminding you that He has more for you.

You don't have to keep walking through life feeling heavy, disenchanted or lost. There is a way forward. There is healing. There is freedom. There is hope.

And we'd love to help you discover what that could look like.

❤️ If you're ready to break free from the monotony of merely existing and begin living the abundant life Jesus promised, we'd love to walk alongside you.

You are worth the fight.

There comes a moment in every healing journey when we realise that, while others may love us deeply, no one else can fight for our healing quite like we can.

It's not because people don't care. Your family may care. Your friends may care. Your church may care. But they aren't the ones living inside your mind every day. They don't hear the whispers of fear, carry the weight of your memories, or know the quiet places where you've slowly stopped believing that life could be different.

Only you know those places.

Only you know the conversations you've been avoiding, the dreams you've buried, the peace you've sacrificed, or the things God has been gently bringing to the surface for far too long.

If you don't make time to fight for those things, who will?

No one else is going to protect the quiet moments your soul desperately needs. No one else is going to insist that you stop, breathe, grieve, heal, pray, journal, or pursue the freedom that God is inviting you into. Those choices belong to you.

The beautiful truth is that you're not fighting alone.

Psalm 139 reminds us,

"You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar." (Psalm 139:2)

God knows every hidden battle. Every exhausted thought. Every wound you've tried to outrun. Every place where you've simply learned to survive instead of truly live.

And He hasn't called you to stay there.

Maybe today is the day you stop waiting for someone else to rescue you.

Maybe today is the day you decide that your peace is worth protecting... your healing is worth pursuing... your calling is worth uncovering... and you are worth fighting for.

If you're ready to stand up, take back your life, and begin the healing journey with people who truly understand what you've been through, we'd love to walk alongside you.

Strong and courageous.

Those words sound inspiring... until God asks us to step somewhere we've never been before.

Sometimes courage isn't standing in front of giants.

Sometimes courage is leaving what has become familiar.

The relationship.
The fear.
The survival mode.
The identity we've built around simply getting through another day.

Even when it's painful, the familiar can feel safer than the unknown.

But notice what God said to Joshua:

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9

God never promised Joshua that the journey would be easy.

He promised that He would be there.

The same Shepherd who leads us through the valley is the One who also leads us beside still waters and into green pastures (Psalm 23).

Sometimes we're so busy creating our own little "safe pasture" that we never discover the one God has already prepared for us.

His peace is deeper.
His freedom is greater.
His plans are better.

The unknown may feel frightening today...

..but if Jesus is leading you there, you can trust that what lies on the other side of your bravery is far better than anything fear could ever persuade you to stay in.

So don't let fear make your decisions.

Take His hand.

One brave step at a time.

Because the Shepherd who calls you forward is already waiting for you in the green pastures. 🌿💙

Sometimes we've become so good at surviving... that we've forgotten what we've survived.

Life has a way of teaching us to keep going.

We smile. We work. We raise families. We serve at church. We help everyone else.

And little by little, we learn to push past the hurt instead of healing from it.

Over time, the wounds become so familiar that we stop noticing they're even there. We tell ourselves, "I'm fine now." But often, we've simply become experts at carrying pain.

The problem is... just because we've forgotten about those buried wounds doesn't mean the enemy has.

The enemy knows exactly where our deepest hurts are. He knows the rejection we buried, the betrayal we never grieved, the shame we tried to hide, and the lies we've quietly believed for years. He continues to whisper into those places, shaping our fears, our relationships, and even the way we see God.

But Jesus never asks us to pretend we're okay.

He gently invites us to bring the hidden things into His light.

"Everything exposed by the light becomes visible - and everything that is illuminated becomes a light." (Ephesians 5:13)

Healing isn't about reopening old wounds for the sake of it.

It's about allowing Jesus to heal what has been buried so it no longer has the power to influence your life.

Be brave enough to look beneath the surface.

What you've forgotten...
God remembers.

And what the enemy has used against you...
Jesus wants to redeem.

❤️ If you'd like a safe place to begin exploring what's been hidden beneath the surface, we'd love to walk alongside you.

Are you sure you're really in a God-designed relationship... or could it be that someone else has been pulling the strings?

The Bible reminds us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against... the spiritual forces of evil" (Ephesians 6:12).

Not every relationship that feels intense, exciting or "meant to be" has been designed by God.

Sometimes, the enemy quietly weaves together two sets of wounds... one person desperate to control, the other longing to be loved, accepted and chosen.

What looks like chemistry can sometimes be an unhealthy attachment.

What feels like love can sometimes become bo***ge.

God doesn't call us into relationships where we lose our identity, our peace, or our freedom. He calls us into relationships where love reflects Christ—bringing truth, safety, honour and life.

If you've ever wondered, "How did I end up here?" or "Why can't I seem to break free?" perhaps it's time to look beneath the surface.

Reach out for a free Relationship Clarity Call. We'd love to help you understand what's really been happening and begin taking steps toward freedom.
