Unlike some countries, ordinary citizens can’t carry fi****ms for self-defence. However, certain professions can lawfully carry concealed handguns while working.

In Queensland, some Cash In Transit (CIT) and armed security officers are authorised to carry concealed fi****ms as part of their role, provided they hold the required licences, training and approvals.

The reason most people don’t know this is because they’re not meant to. The firearm isn’t there to be seen, make a statement, or attract attention. It’s carried discreetly and is only there as a last resort if an extreme situation unfolds.
