Your centre of gravity controls everything.

Keep it underneath you as you elbow, stay stacked, stay balanced and keep your feet from crossing.

Good balance means you’re always ready for what comes next.

Don’t stop at the pad. Kick through it and let the power do the talking.

This is how we teach our beginners. Simple, clear, and built to stick. Master the basics, then build from there.

Big step up.

A huge congratulations to Chauncey on earning his spot in our Intermediate Muay Thai class. Coming across from a strong Taekwondo background as a high level black belt, he’s embraced the change, put in the work, and is developing into a well rounded Nak Muay.

Skill transfers. Hard work stands out. Keep it up, mate.

P.S. we have no idea what the 2nd photo is. Blame our photographer Hayden 😂

At Steel Muay Thai, we’ve built our kids program around progression, not just attendance.

Our grading system gives every belt and rope a clear set of skills to work towards, so every child knows what they’re learning and what comes next.

We also split our kids classes into three age groups because every child develops differently. This allows us to coach at the right pace, pair students with others of a similar skill level, and create the best environment for learning and confidence.

Most importantly, we don’t hold kids back. If a student is showing the maturity, attitude and ability to move up, we’ll always give them the opportunity to keep progressing, regardless of age.

That’s how we help kids build real skills, real confidence and a genuine love for Muay Thai. 👊

End of class Games with purpose. 👊

In this drill, the kids constantly swap coloured cones while staying focused. As soon as the coach calls a colour, it’s game on! One person has to react instantly, run backwards to safety, while the other gives chase.

They’re developing:
🥊 Listening skills
⚡ Fast reactions
🧠 Focus and attentiveness
🏃 Coordination and movement
😄 Confidence while having fun

Learning doesn’t always have to look serious. Sometimes the best lessons come through play.

What a belter of a fight. 👊

Elijah Todd stepped into the ring for his very first C-Class padded bout at Muay Thai Queensland and left it all out there. He fought with heart, stayed composed, and put into action everything we’ve been working on in training.

The decision didn’t go our way this time, but that’s fight sport. The performance, courage, and growth he showed are what matter most.

We’re incredibly proud to have Elijah as Steel Muay Thai’s first underage student to compete. This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what’s next. Well done, mate. 💙🥊
