Most self-employed people think they have a motivation problem.
They don’t.
They have a fishing problem.
You can sit on the water all day.
But if:
• Your line is weak
• Your bait is wrong
• Your hook is dull
• Your timing is off
You won’t catch anything.
Business works the same way.
Revenue doesn’t disappear dramatically.
It slips.
Follow-ups slow.
Offers get vague.
Standards soften.
Conversations lose edge.
That’s drift.
You don’t need to “try harder.”
You need to tighten the line.
If you’re self-employed — what part of your business drifts first when things get busy?
02/03/2026
Many people say the hardest part of being self-employed is pressure.
It’s not.
It’s drift.
No boss.
No guardrails.
No one tightening the screws.
So things slip.
Follow-ups slow.
Standards soften.
Offers lose sharpness.
Revenue doesn’t crash.
It leaks.
If you’re self-employed:
What’s the first thing that drifts when you get busy?
(Comment “DRIFT” if you want the 3-minute scorecard that exposes where it’s happening.)

Starting a business… but it feels like you’re not really gaining altitude?
It’s rarely a motivation problem.
It’s usually drift.
• Follow-ups that slow down
• Offers that get watered down
• Messaging that loses sharpness
• Sales conversations that go soft
Revenue doesn’t collapse.
It just… leaks.
Most businesses don’t need more leads.
They need tighter ex*****on.
If things feel inconsistent right now, that’s your signal.

Business coaching tip #000378.5 –
One of the biggest tips for receiving business coaching that we can give is not to expect your coach to do everything for you.
It seems obvious, but that would go against everything that coaching is about!
The reason you hired a coach in the first place was to help you leave your comfort zone and take ownership of your business – and thus, your life.
We’ve been there, and we want to see you grow to become the best person you can be.
So remain honest with yourself, and let's get motivated together!

There is no feeling more satisfying than a job well done, on your own terms.

I started my business so I would have nobody telling me what to do – so why would I hire a business coach?
Slow your horses there, we’re not here to tell you what to do!
In fact, we assume that you are the expert when it comes to your business.
We are here, however, to ask questions.
Often these will be the ones you have been avoiding asking yourself!
Through the process of joint discussion, ideas are generated. From there you are armed with the necessary insight to make your own decisions on how to improve your situation and reach your goals.
We’ll give you the hammer and show you how to swing it – but you get to decide if you should be using a drill instead!

Over 70% of entrepreneurs work more than 40 hours per week.
Can you relate?
This is one of the toughest parts about being self employed.
So many things to do, and so little time to do them…
Have you ever considered that you may want to improve your time management skills?
Here’s a little tip:
Give up multitasking entirely.
Working on two things simultaneously is a great way to finish neither.
Instead, make a list of priorities and focus on completing those one by one.
Turn off your phone while you're working and respond to those emails at the end of the day.
You’ll be amazed at how your productivity skyrockets :)

“Come get your fresh lemonade, now mixed with mom’s spicy water from the top shelf!”
For some, entrepreneurialism is a natural trait which develops very early in life.
