We are so lucky to have so many wonderful organisations supporting our young people here in Geraldton, and even luckier that we get to collaborate with them 🌟

Our friends at Desert Blue Connect are always such a joy to work with and our SHINE and Shimmer girls are always so engaged during these sessions πŸ’“

πŸ’–βœ¨ Today we had a fantastic session with the Shine Today girls discussing our relationships and what matters most. We unpacked social norms, talked about boundaries, and how essential it is to feel safe and respected.

To wrap up, everyone created a custom bracelet identifying specific relationship qualities that matter most to them personally. There was amazing energy from all involved!

🌟 One of our SHINE girls shining! 🌟

SHINE Facilitator Zoe calls Hannah 'pocket rocket', now we all know why! 😎

16 goals in one game! Not a record many other footy players can claim. Once again we are reminded the future is bright ✨️

πŸ₯‡πŸ€©Local Legend 🀩πŸ₯‡

🏈 Congratulations to 13-year-old Mullewa Saints Football Club player Hannah Yates who put in a stella performance recently against Brigades scoring a whopping 16 goals!

✨️ Meekatharra Spotlight! ✨️

Did you know our SHINE program also runs every week at Meekatharra District High School?!
Our Facilitator, Jillian is the lucky team member that works with these gorgeous smiling faces πŸ₯°

This is our first year in Meekatharra and judging by these smiles, I think its fair to say Jillian is a big hit πŸ˜€

Show our Meeka girls some love and tag any friends or family you can see sitting at our SHINE round table (or hiding up the back πŸ˜†) 🀩✨️

Reconciliation Week 2026 may officially be over but SHINE's commitment to tangible and practical steps to Reconciliation, just keeps on keeping on 😎

Our SHINE team are proud of our daily steps towards reconciliation. We are loudly and proudly committed to be 'All In' every day. As the song goes "from little things, big things grow" 🎢

We are very inspired by the conversations our young people have about Reconciliation and we are always humbled by the strength and curiosity of our SHINE and Shimmer girls across the Mid West.
The future is bright ✨️

πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ National Sorry Day, May 26th β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ–€

"National Sorry Day commemorates the landmark 'Bringing them home' report and acknowledges the forced removal of the Stolen Generations." (HealingFoundation.org.au)

A very timely day for our "What You Didn't Consider" cards to arrive πŸ‘Œ
SHINE will be using these cards to "lean in with curiosity" to ensure we are doing our best to create a place of cultural safety for our staff, students and visitors ✨️
We feel this is quite fitting for the 2026 National Sorry Day theme: From Sorry to Action.
