Standing Together Against Bullying

Bullying has no place at Nelson Park.

Next week, we will be reinforcing our commitment to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all students.

On both campuses, students will attend an assembly on Friday 21st August with the focus on bullying prevention, respectful behaviour, and looking out for one another.

The theme this year is ‘Small Acts: Big Impact’.

We encourage families to continue these important conversations at home and remind students that speaking up and seeking help is always the right thing to do.

Together, we can make our school community a place where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.

Today our wonderful staff are working together on a new Restorative Framework to better understand your children and build positive and trusting relationships with them.

These two have a very important job at Nelson Park — making people smile, providing comfort, calming worries and reminding us that sometimes, a cuddle with a furry friend is exactly what we need.

Whether it’s a quiet moment, a friendly hello, a walk around the school or simply having a dog nearby, Juma and Teddy bring a special kind of joy to our school community.

They may not be able to teach a lesson but they’re experts in listening, friendship, unconditional love and making even an ordinary school day a little brighter! 🐾✨
