Geelong Christian Union We are a group at Deakin University, Geelong who aim to share the gospel of Jesus Christ at University and equip students to stand firm in their faith.

Hey GCU!

As we are coming to the end of trimester, it's time for our SWOTVAC Social Night!

This will be our last event for the trimester. Make sure to come along and invite your friends to enjoy a break from all the exam preparation and hang out for some chats, table tennis, pool, and board/card games! We will enjoy a tasty, free dinner of Indian-style fried rice and some snacks to share throughout the evening. Feel free to bring any other snacks or board games to share as well.

This Thursday, we have our LAST official Connect for the trimester! Join us for some free dinner, board games, and a Bible talk as we wrap up our series.

Dinner is at 6pm, but come earlier to hang out and play board games. Feel free to bring some snacks to share, and don’t forget to invite your friends too!

Hi Everyone,

Coming up this Thursday is the GCU Annual General Meeting, where members will hear updates and encouragements about the club, along with voting in the new executive committee!

To attend the meeting, you will need to be a member before the end of Wednesday, September 9th, which you can do at the link in our bio. Prices are $10 (for DUSA members)/$15 (for non-DUSA members)

The candidates we have standing for the positions are as follows:
President: Aaron Cheng, Adam Dykstra, Ruth Schultink, Zac Zbierski
Treasurer: Aaron Cheng, Ruth Schultink
Secretary: Gabrielle McMaster, Zac Zbierski
Outreach Officer: Adam Dykstra, Ruth Schultink, Zac Zbierski

Hey GCU,

Our AGM is this week! We still have our regular Connect on this Thursday from 6pm, where we will hang out over some free dinner, and hear a bible talk.

Dinner is at 6pm, but we’d love to see you and your friends there earlier to play some board games! Feel free to bring some snacks to share as well.

After our regular Connect, we will have the members-only AGM, where we go through reports from the executives, and vote new people in for the executive positions. Don’t worry though, games and hanging out after Connect will still happen for the non-members who can’t join the AGM 😄
