Join us for PSN Story Time this Thursday, Aug 27th, where our amazing vet school staff open up about the highs, lows, and lessons they’ve learned throughout their careers. From challenges that shaped them to moments that remind them why they chose this path, you’ll hear real stories you won’t find in a lecture!

We will be joined by Dr Albert Sole Guitart, Dr Michelle Story, Dr Rachel Allavena, Dr Greg Simmons and our avian and exotics veterinary technician Iffy Glendinning

2026 Mental Health Week
Week 5 is coming soon — and we know the semester can start to feel a little heavy… That’s why “Mental Health Week” couldn’t come at a better time!

Take a breather, connect with your peers, and join us for activities designed to support your wellbeing — from inspiring staff stories to practical tips on navigating challenges. Let’s pause, reset, and remind ourselves that looking after our mental health is just as important as keeping up with our studies. It’s always something worth talking about!

Attention First Years!

We know you have your first VETS1021 prac exam coming up soon and PSN is here to help you get comfortable with the format of anatomy prac exams! On Monday 24th August 9am-12pm we will be running our annual VETS1021 Loco Mock exam. It is an opportunity to prepare in a very supportive and chill environment before you sit the real exam.

To those interested, please sign up before 6pm this Friday Aug 21st. You will be allocated into specific time slots shortly after that.
Please make sure you are able to come before signing up as spaces are limited.

Hi everyone,

We have 4 spots left for our annual PSN Mentor Training running this coming weekend, August 1st and 2nd, at the UQ Gatton Campus . The wonderful Fran will be facilitating the training.

The training will take place in the Hub from 9.30-5.30pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. Lunch will be provided both days.

The training will equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence on how to support people (and yourself) both emotionally and practically.

If you’re interested in becoming a mentor and supporting peers and making vet school friends across cohorts please sign up! BOTH Vet and Vet Tech Students are welcome!
