📢 Calling WA Teachers – Your Voice Matters 📢
We warmly invite current teachers, retired teachers, and those who have left the profession to take part in our upcoming World Café conversations exploring experiences of physical, emotional, and verbal aggression from students (PEVATTS).
These sessions offer a supportive, respectful, and structured space where you can share your experiences and insights. Your contribution will help inform research aimed at improving teacher wellbeing and guiding future prevention and intervention strategies across WA.
đź—“ Multiple sessions available: North of the River, South of the River, and online for rural, regional, and remote teachers across WA. Sessions are offered during both the school term and holidays to suit a range of schedules.
🕔 All sessions run from 5:00pm–6:00pm

There are over 60,000 registered teachers in Western Australia
In the past 10 years, only 2,573 teachers and school leaders have participated in research focused on violence and aggression from students
That’s roughly 7% representation
What’s involved?
✔️ Short anonymous online survey
✔️ Open to current WA teachers
✔️ Covers physical, verbal, and emotional aggression
✔️ No identifying information collected
✔️ Confidential and ethically approved (HREC #2025-014)

🌟 Honoured to attend and present at the WAIER 40th Annual Research Forum!�It was a privilege to share insights from my research: “A Study on Physical, Emotional, and Verbal Aggression Towards Teachers by Students (PEVATTS) in Western Australia."
This work is deeply rooted in my dual identity as a teacher and researcher, with the goal of fostering positive outcomes for educators, students, and the broader school community.
