Please don’t read between the lines:

Teaching consent early isn’t about frightening young children with conversations they’re not developmentally ready for. Consent education in early childhood looks very different from consent education with teenagers

Teaching consent is about giving children hundreds of ordinary experiences that teach them about the safety they deserve.

Lessons like:
-My body belongs to me.
-Other people’s bodies belong to them.
-I can communicate my boundaries.
-I need to notice and respect yours.
-I can change my mind.
-If something doesn’t feel right, I can get help.

These are such important lessons, and the more people that are teaching them, the better.
