The Plant Stall is looking for donations!
If you have any unwanted plants, cuttings, seedlings or pots the Plant Stall wants them to raise money at the Spring Fair!

The last day of ARTEX 2017 rewarded its early risers with bright sunlight.

A steady stream of the curious and curiouser meandered their serpentine ramble around and around the panelled maze while JAKE HATCH worked his tasty sonic miracles.

At High Noon JAKE made way for BIG BOSS MAN (uplugged), showcasing the wilful, unsettling dramaturgical stomp-o-rama that is Big Boss Oxenburgh.

Next up THE ROWDY CORNER UKE BAND that wowed them on Opening Night, proved that you should ALWAYS mic-up the double bass, the piquant male is back and you're never too young to swing a megaphone.

Then COLOURBOUND, three-fifths of 'Three-Quarter FLAT' that rocked ARTEX 2014, ignited the shed, serving up juicy chunks of their top-shelf alt-rock delicacies including this scribe's fave reinvention of a Blues standard.

Last but not least OLD RIVER KID did what they came to do. Broke hearts, parted hair and unknowingly set a cat among the pigeons.

CREATIVITY takes all forms dear Viewers.

During ARTEX 2019, get amongst it whether or not your kiddies are still at EFPS.

Schools are the primary catalysts for community cohesion and creativity is what they seek to pass on.

This sunny ARTEX Saturday drove the ample floral setees out from the shadows into an arc enveloping the musicians and the comfort factor trebled.

ARTEX 2017 had transformed the B SHED into one great big comfortable Living Room.

In case you're one of those who asked

The Sales Desk-jockeys were all smiles.

Those who remember ARTEX 2012 may have stayed away thinking it could never be THIS good ...... but oh yes it could .... and it was.

Oh and hey Mr Wilson, thanks heaps for making sure we all kept our eyes on yr metric. It would have been a huge let down to creep over your dizzy quay-side precipice and not plummet whole-heartedly to your razor-sharp rocks below .... and .... well some of us did .... so smiles all round eh.

ARTEX 2017 was from the get-go, all class .......

Push past the Rowdy Corner Uke Band ? Never.
Beetling forward in the Entry conga line was joyous.
These crowd-pleasers and their young megaphone-wielding Siren bewitched and beguiled as the gatekeepers QA kicked-in to check, frisk and brand the uploading revellers.

As usual this Biennnial knees-up promised much, fuelled by an insatiable passion for Fine Art, family, solid and liquid assets.

To balance the perennial concerns of Copyright infringement and exhibitionism + acknowledge that 'what happens in the B SHED stays in the B SHED', some will be dismayed at the lack of incriminating material.

I on the other hand trust this record maintains at least a whiff of the majesty and propriety for which the EFPS P&C is well known.

Uber anyone?

I recall there was a Bar and a very long table, both full-as-a-goog wit goodies.

But while you were talking ..... and eating .... and drinking .... and swanning about .....
BASS LEMON sanctified your unconscionable conduct with a cascade of sultry n splendiferous uber-cool soulful standards and originals.

To your credit, by the end of the night you'd worked out that the band was worth a listen.

Quite possibly the high-point for our EFPS families.

Beautiful early afternoon sunlight filled the exhibition space as our string orchestra moored it's sea-borne lyric cargo safely inside.

No amplifiers required, yet I swear the room hovered weightless above the quay for these all-too-brief 30 minutes.

All righty then ...... I've taken the extraordinary step of cunningly confecting a series of Photo Albums soon to be posted on this page, which should in aggregate tell the ARTEX 2017 Event weekend story in glorious technicolour.

It's been a long road tweaking and massaging the nearly 1200 snaps.

Oh and I know your time is precious and wading through 900 or so photos to find the 1 or 2 that include your lovely photogenic face will be well, let's face it, tedious and of course, naturally enough .... deliciously ...... 'HORRIFYING'.

I mean, if it was me I'd probs just never look at another post on this page in case I'm confronted with the reality of my lost youth.

For others more beautiful however, well ..... you're gonna love dipping your toes in the ARTEX 2017 wash-up flotsam and jetsam ............ aren't you ............................................... not.
