The Australian Government has introduced a Skills in Demand (SID) visa (subclass 482). 🪪

In addition to the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485), the SID visa provides a post-study opportunity for international graduates to stay and work in Australia if your skills and qualifications are needed. 📝

SID visa holders will be able to work in Australia for up to four years, with the potential to take up an employer-supported pathway to permanent residency. 🌏

This will enable you to better plan for your future, in Australia or elsewhere. 🛣️

The Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL) for the SID Core Skills stream has also been released, including jobs in industries such as construction, agriculture, cyber security, health and many more. 👷‍♀️👨‍🌾👩‍💻👨‍⚕️

The SID visa replaced the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa on 7 December 2024.

The Department of Home Affairs has confirmed a further selection of the PEV ballot for Papua New Guinea will occur 9 January 2025.

Papua New Guinea will be receiving an additional 165 PEVs this program year and they will be included in this second draw.

Keep an eye on your selection status in your ImmiAccount as well as the email you used to register in the ballot. The Department of Home Affairs will email Notification of Selection letters to those drawn in the further selection.

Following the further selection process, if your selection status has not changed from RECEIVED to SELECTED you have not been drawn.

Just as a reminder, random selections will be made from those already registered in the ballot. No new ballot registrations are being accepted for this draw.
