In business there are highs and lows,
but last night we celebrated resilience and 'still standing' at the MidCoast Business Awards!
Thanks to my amazing therapy team who I just love working with and which push and encourage me, which then helps me support OTs around Australia even better!
If you're feeling overwhelmed as an OT, please reach out for support.
Deb Hopper, 2026 Outstanding Business Leader.
Woo hoo!
Last night our OT and business owner Deb Hopper was named Outstanding Business Leader at the 2026 Midcoast Business Awards for her work at Life Skills 4 Kids.
The last three years have been tough as she's been recovering from an accident and had to drop to part time which meant we had to be innovative and creative within the team. We had to find new ways to keep supporting the children and families when she wasn’t in the building. None of that happens without a team who can problem-solve and adapt and not just clock in.
To every staff member, past and present whether an OT, Early Intervention Teacher or Allied Health Assistant or admin services or other support services, thank you. Some of you were there at the start, some joined more recently, but you’ve all had a hand in building this. This award is as much yours as it is mine.
To Bruce, her husband, thank you for holding everything together at home and looking after her. She couldn't have done it without you.
And to the families who trust us with your kids, thank you. You let us into some of the hardest and most important parts of your lives, and we never take that lightly.
We're so proud of our team and we
love supporting our local community.
Thank you MidCoast Business Awards
