Rosebank Rally 2026 brought our College community together for a joyful celebration of faith, community and our shared Benedictine identity.

Centred on the theme of 'Discernment', students were invited to pause, listen “with the ear of the heart” and reflect on how prayer, wisdom and the voices of others can guide life’s choices.

Thank you to our inspiring guest speakers, visiting Priests, dedicated staff and student leaders and musicians who created such a welcoming and meaningful experience through reflection, Reconciliation and Adoration.

May our students continue to listen deeply, choose with purpose and move forward with courage and trust.

Last Wednesday evening, we proudly celebrated the creativity, talent and dedication of our Year 12 students at the 2026 HSC TAS, Music and Visual Arts Showcase.

From the outstanding major works on display in Visual Arts and TAS, to the exceptional performances from our HSC Music students, the evening was a wonderful reflection of the creativity, critical thinking, design and performance skills developed throughout their senior studies.

The quality of work was truly impressive and represented an enormous investment of time, determination and passion from our students. We were also treated to performances from an exceptionally talented group of Year 12 musicians. A fitting finale to a very special evening.

Thank you to our CAPA and TAS teachers, whose expertise, encouragement and mentoring have supported our students in bringing their ideas and creative visions to life. A special thank you also to Inlighten Photography for beautifully capturing the evening and the incredible work, talent and achievements of our students.

Congratulations to our Class of 2026 on an outstanding Showcase and this wonderful milestone in your HSC journey.

Supporting Our Teens Through Adolescence

What a wonderful turnout for Monday evening's Parent Engagement Gathering (PEG), with more than 80 parents and carers joining us for an insightful and practical evening with guest speaker Daniel Merza.

Daniel led an engaging 90-minute session focused on empowering parents and carers to support their teenagers through the challenges and opportunities of adolescence.

Drawing on his extensive experience working with young people and families, Daniel shared practical strategies to help teenagers:

✨ Build resilience, confidence and motivation
✨ Navigate challenges with greater independence
✨ Develop a positive mindset and essential life skills
✨ Thrive both at school and beyond

The evening also provided a wonderful opportunity for parents and carers to connect, share experiences and take away practical strategies they can use at home to support their teenager’s wellbeing and success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you left feeling inspired, encouraged and equipped to support your teens through this important stage of their lives.

🌌🔭✨ A Night Among the Stars

Last Friday evening, Rosebank ended National Science Week with an unforgettable Astronomy Night, as students from Years 7–12 looked beyond the classroom and up to the night sky.

After a cloudy start, the skies cleared just in time! With the support of The Astronomical Society of New South Wales Inc (ASNSW), students observed Venus, the spectacular Jewel Box star cluster and Alpha Centauri through telescopes on the College Green.

The evening also offered a fascinating exploration of Indigenous Astronomy, with Koori Kinnections sharing First Nations perspectives on the deep connections between Aboriginal culture, Country and the night sky. Students then stepped inside an inflatable planetarium for an immersive journey through the Universe.

It was wonderful to see so much curiosity in action – students asking questions, sharing discoveries and experiencing science from entirely new perspectives.

Thank you to Koori Kinnections, The Astronomical Society of New South Wales Inc (ASNSW), Gary Starr, our Rosebank staff and all the students who made the evening such a success.

Curiosity, culture and discovery – all under one spectacular sky!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible Rosebank community for making Trivia Night such a fantastic night! 🎬✨

With more than 230 guests joining us, it was a wonderful evening of fun, connection, community spirit and some very creative costumes!

Together, we raised over $14,000 in net profit, with funds going towards our Rooftop Green Space project, helping to create an improved outdoor space for our students.

We’re grateful to our generous sponsors and donors who helped make the evening possible, as well as everyone who purchased tickets, took part in the online auction and supported the event.

It was wonderful to see our Rosebank community embrace the movie theme, with so many fantastic costumes and plenty of team spirit throughout the evening.

Thank you for helping make Trivia Night such a success! 🍿✨

🔬🌱 Science has been taking root across Rosebank this week as we celebrate National Science Week 2026 and this year’s theme, ‘Seeds of Science – celebrating how ideas take root and develop’.

From circuits and seismic waves to puzzles, algorithms and some serious problem-solving, students have been putting their scientific thinking to the test through a week of hands-on challenges, discovery and friendly House competition.

Each morning, Homerooms have joined forces for our daily Science Week Quiz, racing to solve questions, earn bonus points and climb the House leaderboard. At lunchtime, the competition has continued with the Archimedes Challenge, where student teams have represented their Houses in practical challenges designed to test their creativity, logic, teamwork and scientific know-how.

There has been plenty happening in the lab and beyond – building electrical circuits, designing earthquake-resistant structures, tackling the Tower of Hanoi and solving scientific puzzles – all demonstrating how curiosity and a single idea can grow into discovery.

With House points and prizes on the line, the competitive spirit has certainly been alive – but so too has the curiosity, collaboration and enthusiasm that sit at the heart of science. Congratulations to O'Connor who won the daily quizzes, Brady SS1 who was the fastest homeroom with all correct answers twice and Caufield who won the Archimedes challenge!

A fantastic celebration of asking questions, testing ideas and discovering what’s possible.

Happy National Science Week!

Today, Rosebank turned purple in support of Bullying No Way Week, standing together behind this year’s powerful message: Small Acts Matter – words and actions.

Throughout the week, our 2026 Culture and Identity Leaders have been encouraging students to make their own “Bullying No Way” pledges, filling the Pledge Glass at the SRSC with messages of kindness, respect, inclusion and courage.

A kind word. An invitation to join in. Speaking up. Checking in. Choosing respect. Small acts can make a big difference.

A huge thank you to our Culture and Identity Leaders, along with staff, for championing this important initiative and reminding us that our words and actions matter – today and every day.

Bullying? No way. Kindness? Every day.
