Five Dock Runners is offering a Couch to 5k program for term 1 2024, starting on Tuesday, February 6. This 9-week program is designed for beginner runners who are looking to complete their first 5K race or those who have not run in a while. The program includes one training session per week with coach Jim Shanahan, who will provide participants with a 9-week training plan that outlines the recommended exercises to achieve their goal.
The sessions are a great opportunity to socialize with friends or meet new people while building aerobic fitness and speed. Runners will also receive advice on running technique to improve running efficiency and reduce the risk of injury.

I’ve just spent a fabulous weekend in Katoomba doing a two-day Trail and Ultra running coach course with Athletics NSW.
Thanks to Anne-Marie Cook and Matt North for sharing their insights into trail running and for guiding us on some incredible trail runs through the scenic Blue Mountains.

On Saturday the 4th of November I had the pleasure of joining the Running Heroes team for a lap around the Bay Run as part of the Brooks Run Happy tour. I also got to try the new Brooks Glycerin 21 before it’s official launch in Australia on December 1.
