✨ Little Hands, Big Learning in our Fireflies Room!

Our Fireflies children had so much fun creating their very own colourful elephants last week!🐘

The children explored colourful pieces of paper and carefully pasted them onto an elephant shape, creating their own unique artwork.

It was wonderful to see their little hands busy, their curiosity growing, and their confidence shining as they created something by themselves!

Through this simple and engaging activity, our children developed fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, concentration, sensory awareness, and independence. Most importantly, they enjoyed the confidence of creating something all by themselves!

📚✨ What a Wonderful Book Week! ✨📚

Last week was filled with stories, imagination and lots of fun as we celebrated Book Week! Our children dressed up each day as their favourite book characters, brought in their favourite books from home, and enjoyed sharing and reading stories together. 📖

Book Week is a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading while supporting children’s language, communication, creativity, imagination and confidence. It also creates beautiful opportunities for children, educators and families to connect through the joy of books.

We finished the week with a special Book Week Parade, where the children proudly showed off their amazing costumes. We loved having our families join us and share in the celebration!

And the biggest surprise was a very special visit from Bluey! The children were so excited to meet Bluey and receive some special presents. 🎁

A big thank you to all our wonderful families for getting involved and making Book Week so memorable. What a magical week of books, laughter, imagination and fun! 📚✨💙

What a magical day of books, costumes and storytelling! 📚

Today, our children had the chance to parade around and proudly show off their wonderful costumes, and it was even more special having our families there to cheer them on!

We loved seeing all the creative costumes, every costume was perfect! The most important thing was having fun and celebrating our love of books and storytelling together!

And to make the day even more exciting… Bluey came to visit!!The children were absolutely thrilled, and Bluey even brought gifts for the children! 🎁

There were lots of smiles, laughter and happy memories made today. Thank you to all our wonderful families for joining us and helping make the celebration so special! 💕

🌟 Hey Dee Ho Session at Eunoia Education! 🎶

Our Ladybird and Honeybee rooms came together for a fun-filled Hey Dee Ho session. The children had so much fun dancing, singing, moving and expressing themselves through music and movement. 💛

These experiences are not only lots of fun, but also support children’s learning and development by helping them build:

🎵 Rhythm, coordination and body awareness
👯‍♂️Gross motor skills and confidence in movement
🗣️ Communication, language and listening skills
🤝 Social skills through group participation
😊 Confidence, self-expression and a sense of belonging

At Eunoia Education, we believe learning happens in many different ways. Alongside our professional planning and educational programs, we love providing our children with a variety of incursions and excursions that enrich their learning and support their development.

📚 Book Week for Our Littlest Learners

Book Week isn’t just for our bigger children! Our littlest learners can be part of the fun too, with experiences thoughtfully adapted to suit their age and stage of development.

Today, our educators brought stories to life through sensory play, using taste-safe materials such as baby cereal so our babies could safely touch, squish, explore and investigate.

Sensory experiences like these allow our youngest children to engage with stories in a way that makes sense to them — through their senses, curiosity and hands-on exploration.

Because at Eunoia, every child can be part of the experience, no matter how little they may be. 💛

🏀🌟 Our Little Sports Heroes at Eunoia Ferntree Gully! 🌟🏀

Today, our little sports heroes had so much fun during our sports session! 🏀⚽️ The children enjoyed throwing and chasing the ball, having a go at shooting the basketball into the hoop, running around, and laughing together.

It was such a joy to see their happy faces and big smiles! 😊💛

At Eunoia Education Ferntree Gully, we value supporting children’s development through fun, engaging and meaningful experiences. We love organising exciting incursions and excursions that encourage children to learn, explore, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun!

Risky Play 🌿

Risky play is an essential part of children’s development. It gives children opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, develop problem-solving skills and learn how to assess and manage risk.

Risky play can look like:
-Exploring at heights
-Balancing, jumping and navigating pathways with a risk of falling
-Crashing into things and exploring impact
-Navigating high speeds
-Engaging in rough-and-tumble play with other children

When supported in a safe and appropriate environment, risky play helps children develop resilience, independence, coordination and confidence while learning about their own abilities and limits. ❤️|

Next week, we’ll be celebrating all things Book Week at Eunoia Education Ferntree Gully! 💛

Throughout the week, our children and educators will be bringing some of their favourite stories and characters to life through dress-ups, storytelling and experiences inspired by the wonderful world of books.

Book Week is about so much more than dressing up. It’s a wonderful opportunity to encourage imagination, creativity and a love of reading, while giving children the chance to share the stories and characters that are special to them. 📖✨
