I did say I'd be back! I'm still working on a piece that's turning out to be lengthier than I'd thought it would, so while I do further work on that, I thought perhaps a little light distraction would be nice!
It was fun digging up some forgotten Australian ghost stories, and I might explore a few more too...there is something deeply compelling about the tales that have been lost in time...

It's been a while, folks- I'm surprised but grateful to see anybody still around, and you have my thanks for your continued presence!
Two- plus years ago I decided I'd like to try my hand at writing for ASSAP: the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena, as their Australian content provider. My first article, the start of a series covering the 13 locations in the fantastic 1987 Australian documentary film "Haunted" produced by the (also) fantastic Iain Gillespie, was published in the October '23 issue of Seriously Strange but there was a great deal of discord amongst the Exec. committee a short time afterward, and the follow-up article was not published due to the disappearance of the hard drive on which it was stored.
As I still have a few of those articles completed, and am set on writing the rest, I thought I might share them here, along with other strange stories from the Northern regions of Victoria, including the little town I call home.
I may still return to writing for ASSAP, but my loyalty lies foremost with the few supporters who have remained on this page. I've never been comfortable in the limelight, nor with seeking attention- I'm forever happiest in the shadows, and I'm grateful to those who join me here once in a while.
There'll be some new content here soon, and I'm in the middle of a lengthy article about an obscure "Giant" currently...best I get back to it!
