Today, we acknowledge National Sorry Day, a time to reflect on and recognise the Stolen Generations and the ongoing journey of healing and reconciliation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

๐ถ ๐ถ Today is National Walk Safely to School Day encouraging children to walk to school with a parent or caregiver to build healthy habits and learn important road safety skills along the way. Thank you to the many School Crossing Supervisors at EVPS!
You can help our young people walk safely to school. Remember:
๐Never park on a crossing or too close to an intersection
๐Donโt drive through a crossing until everyone is off the road
๐ธWalk with your children to keep them safe and teach them good road safety habits.
Did you know? Children should always hold an adultโs hand when crossing the road until they are at least 10 years old.

What a wonderful week weโve had celebrating Education Week! From our Open Classroom Session and Walk or Ride to School Day, to Prep Breakfast, Teeth on Wheels, Glasses for Kids and so much more, it has been fantastic to see our students learning, connecting and thriving.
This week has also highlighted the importance we place on student health, wellbeing and inclusion, ensuring every child is supported to feel happy, healthy and ready to learn. Thank you to our staff, families and community for helping make the week such a success! More to follow in our next newsletter! your school -week

Donโt forget to tomorrow is Walk or Ride Safely to School Day at EVPS! If you usually get driven to school, ask your parent/carer to park a street or two away and walk the rest of the way to school together ๐ถโโ๏ธโโก๏ธ๐ถโโก๏ธ๐ด๐ดโโ๏ธ
We are also pleased to welcome members of Victoria Police from Epping Police Station, who will be joining the Principal Team at the Mansfield Street Gate to greet students as they arrive at school.
Students who walk or ride to school through the Mansfield Street Gate will receive a special sticker to celebrate the day!
