Ashlee is building a career she loves 🔨💙

After five years working for some of Australia’s biggest banks, Ashlee never imagined she’d be pursuing a career in carpentry.

But when shoulder surgery left her with time to spare, she discovered a passion for DIY projects and woodwork that would change her future.

Now studying a Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) at TAFE NSW - Wollongong, Ashlee has traded the corporate world for a hands-on career that combines her love of maths, problem-solving and working outdoors. 🧮📐

“Being one of five females in my class was encouraging and proved to me that women can be tradies too,” Ashlee said.

Proud of the path she’s chosen, Ashlee hopes her story inspires other women to back themselves and explore careers in the trades. ⚒️💪🏽
