Week 5 Recap 💚🤍

We had such an amazing week last week, from excursions, science lessons and a fairy bread fundraiser, to kindy orientations, lunch time clubs and sport ✨

What an incredible, action-packed day we had with Mr Houghton! ☀️🔬 We kicked off our science-based adventures by engineering mini-catapults and testing our physics skills by launching marshmallows high into the air, everyone did such an amazing job and had so much fun! We also learned about the fascinating world of biology to examine different vertebrates and invertebrates up close with magnifying glasses. To make the most out of the beautiful weather, we had an active afternoon out on the tennis court practicing our coordination and teamwork.

A huge thank you to Mr Houghton for such a fun, engaging, and memorable day of learning and play! As always, we love having you 🤍💚

🚗Playgroup🎨

For today’s playgroup we enjoyed the beautiful weather while doing a variety of exciting activities. We started by painting some crowns and on some small canvases, went for a walk around the school while chatting with one another, while also making sure to spend some time with today’s sensory table and fun toys!

💻💛 Be Kind Online – Bullying No Way Week 💛💻

As part of Bullying No Way Week, our students engaged with the animation series Be Kind Online, exploring how we can all play a part in making online spaces safer and kinder. 🌐🤝

Through the story of a primary school student sharing his experience with cyberbullying while online gaming, students discussed the impact that online behaviour can have on others and explored practical strategies such as blocking harmful content, reporting cyberbullying and supporting friends who may be experiencing difficulties online. 🎮🛡️

An important message from the session was the value of speaking up and seeking help. Students discussed the trusted adults and support services they can turn to if something happens online, reinforcing that asking for help is an important part of keeping ourselves and others safe. 💬💙

It was wonderful to hear the thoughtful contributions from our students as they demonstrated empathy, awareness and a strong understanding of how to be safe, respectful and kind digital citizens. 🌟

🧡🤝 Bullying No Way! Day in K-2 🤝🧡

Our students embraced Bullying No Way! Day with enthusiasm, positivity and a strong commitment to standing up for kindness. Through thoughtful classroom discussions, collaborative activities and reflective learning, it was wonderful to see the care and effort students put into showing their support for a safe, respectful and inclusive school community. 🌟

The day was filled with meaningful learning, teamwork and opportunities for students to explore the importance of speaking up, supporting others and celebrating what makes each person unique. 💬💛 Students demonstrated wonderful maturity and empathy as they engaged in important conversations about respect, inclusion and positive relationships.

A huge well done to all of our students and staff for making Bullying No Way! Day such a positive and meaningful event. Together, we continue to build a school where everyone feels valued, supported, included and safe. 🫶🌈

⚽️Sports Club🏀

Today for sports club we spent our lunch in the beautiful sun playing some soccer! Ty, Miki and Chris took on Jack, Miss Browning and Lenny for a fun match! We had some awesome saves, passes and goals. There was also a game of wall dodgeball going which was great fun.
