WOW!! Today at INSPIREX: felt like an invitation to wander beyond the comfortable and familiar, crossing borders into stories, perspectives and ideas we might not ordinarily encounter.

There was something energising about listening to voices from different worlds and experiences, each opening another way of seeing, questioning or understanding.

The format itself was such a gift. Short bursts of stories and bold ideas, followed by time to dialogue, exchange perspectives and notice what was being stirred in our own thinking.

Ideas travelled, collided and connected in unexpected ways.

For a sector carrying so much complexity, this felt particularly timely. We do not always need more information. Sometimes we need encounters that shift our view, disrupt the familiar and create openings for what might otherwise remain unimagined.

A wonderful offering from Semann & Slattery. A day of border crossing, generous dialogue and much-needed bursts of possibility.

A little farewell to an old and very trusted travelling companion.

This suitcase has crossed countries, navigated countless airports and carried an extraordinary collection of materials, books, tools and possibilities to educators near and far.

It has been packed and repacked more times than I could possibly count, often with some very creative negotiations around weight limits!

You have served me so very well. But with only three wheels now willing to make the journey, I think you are telling me it is time.

Thank you, old friend, for carrying so much more than luggage. You carried ideas, materials, connections and many wonderful adventures in learning.

Time for a new travelling companion.

Join us to delve into all things digital technology and how we can ensure it is part of a creative approach to teaching and learning.

Digital technology is part of everyday life - and a powerful tool for learning. This pop-up session explores how digital technologies can be meaningfully woven into teaching practice to amplify inquiry, bring children’s thinking to life, and communicate ideas in innovative ways. We’ll look at how various tools can spark curiosity and deepen research skills, while helping build strong digital citizenship from an early age. Link in bio $25 - live - no recordings

“There lives a creative spirit within all of us… The challenge is to liberate it.” Paul Kaufman

Melbourne was full of it yesterday- curiosity, laughter, experimentation, conversation and educators immersed in thinking with materials and ideas.

Together we explored why creativity matters now, possibility thinking, how creativity can inform planning and documentation, and the intentional curation of environments that invite children to wonder, experiment , embody, imagine and think differently.

Perhaps the work begins with us: reawakening our own inquisitiveness and creative spirit so we can create richer conditions for children.

Sydney, you’re next. A few places are still available for next Friday if you’d like to join us.
